I tried the Smokey Jalapeño burger and the Texan chilli with cornbread.

The burger tasted nice, but I didn’t think it was worth the price (R135 + R45 for the Beyond patty). The seitan 'fakon' added some smokiness, but it was very soft, so the overall bite lacked some much-needed texture. I also couldn't really taste the cheese or cashew cream.

The Texan chilli had absolutely no heat at all, even though I asked for it to be hot. It tasted decent overall, but lacked the depth of flavor I was expecting. In the end, it just felt like a mushy bean stew.

The cornbread was good at least; fluffy and not too dense.

Honestly a very cute place. Love the vibes and the staff is very nice and accommodating. For me the food wasn’t the best, but that’s just a personal preference. I don’t really like the taste of the fake meat. I ordered the Rib Burger but the ribs didn’t really taste like ribs. They were chewy and didn’t have that rib flavour I was expecting. From what I’ve heard from family, the beyond Brg is really good, and so is the Texan Chilli and cornbread, as well as the Facon in the subs, but the Burritos weren’t good either. First time trying this vegan restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. There’s a wide variety of options to choose from. The burritos were absolutely delicious and the burgers were great as well. The gentleman who assisted us was incredibly helpful and friendly, even though it was his first day, he made sure to carefully note our allergy requirements and ensured the kitchen prepared our meals without onions and garlic.
