Farmers Grill — Restaurant in George

Food.... Oy I hate to have to be the person to do this, but BOTH my husband and my food (bought on a special - the Rib Basket and 200g Steak) were so close to being 'turned'. Without a doubt, our food came out after being heated in a microwave, so both are orders had been cooked previously. I am assuming they were cooked just before the 'Best Before Date', so to extend their selling life. Unfortunately, both of our plates had already overstepped the 'superb' zone and were just edible Service - Our waitress was lively, friendly, smiling and helpful. She couldn't be faulted 👏 Atmosphere - OK. It was quite, a latish lunch, so only two other tables.

With the restaurant being an outlet for the butcher next door, if his meats aren't sold in time, he cooks them and serves them at his restaurant next door. It is a phenomenal business plan, but not to the point where the food is going turn !

That having been our first visit, and both are plates were like that, we will not be going back. Knysna has too much...

Wow, had the most amazing steaks and succulent spare ribs, the meat just fell off the bone. The fillet steak was so tender, even the sirloin was really good. Really friendly service, they were quite busy, but the food didn't take long, and the fries are the best in Knysna. Highly recommend Farmers Grill. The restaurant itself doesn't have the greatest acoustics or atmosphere, but the food is really good. Their specials are incredibly good...

Lovely waitresses, excellent food at good prices. Only downside was a large family dining next to us decided to play their own music loudly (boom box noisy genre) over the restaurant music and the manager never asked them to turn it off, so this spoiled it a bit with 2 different music playing from both directions. I have eaten in restaurants all over the world and never experienced that...
