Unfortunately we ended up going for ice cream and milkshakes and waffles just before loadshedding thus we were not allowed to sit inside as they were going to close the doors at 4pm and start cleaning before closing for the day. We had to sit outside and when the order came the 2 x "bar-one" waffles we ordered both came out as "kit-kat" waffles. At least both milkshakes were the right order and were very nice. However, the paperstraws we used gave up halfway through the milkshake as it just parished and became unusable and we had to get spoons to finish our milkshakes. I would suggest Wimpy look into a different supplier or just get plastic straws. They can't be trying to save the environment with the paperstraws when a straw is so extremely small in comparison with the plastic cups the milkshakes and drinks are served in. We then discovered we didn't even get serviettes and had to send the little ones in to ask for serviettes.

It is wheelchair friendly, although, depending on the parking, it can be a little far for an older person the walk. Make use of the 🚻 at The Mall, before going to Wimpy. It can be a little inconvenient to find a bathroom while having a bite to eat, since there are no facilities inside the restaurant. There is a small playground for young children, but to keep an eye on them, the rest of the family will have to make use of the outside seating. Read moreWe visited Wimpy Knysna on Saturday 23 September 2023. My husband and I, travel a lot, and obviously have visited quite an extensive amount of restaurants and eateries. Never before have we experienced such a warm welcoming atmosphere, friendliness, fast efficient service and delicious good food, like we received from Wimpy Knysna. The personnel, welcomes you with a warm smile, our waitress addressed us in very good Afrikaans, even though she is from black origin, unfortunately I can't remember her name, but she left us with life long fond memories.
