Been patronizing this establishment and the sister branch at Suncoast for ages. Frequented Little Havana for a year end staff lunch. The bill cams to about R12k. I stepped out of the private dining area and scrutinized the bill and found 2 bottled water of the Aqua Pana brand on the bill which was never served. They proceeded to delete this from the bill. Then 3 Appeltizers were billed for when on fact only 2 was served. as a matter of principle I confirmed with my staff that only 2 was served. The waiters addressed this with a white female who was on duty. I noticed her enter the dining area with cans in her hand. I questioned my staff again amd that ordered the Appletizers and they confirmed they were only order and was served one each. Having 2 waiters serve created this confusion. I noticed 3 cans on the table, 2 opened and in shape and one smashed, all empty however. It was then brought to my attention that this white woman brought those cans as if to confirm 3 cans were consumed. She was never there. and to get involved and behave in manner which was downright insulting and condescending. this begs patrons to scruntize their bills. particularly at this restaurant, which we had been patronizing from the late Mr Lombard's era. This bitter experience means a sad ending for a loyal patron. Really...

Update: changing my review from 3 stars to 5 stars. The manager called after seeing my original review. He matched my details with my booking and got ahold of me. He discussed my review content and promised to address it with the team. He also provided a voucher which is a nice touch. Now this is great customer experience. I’ll definitely be back.

Original review Arrived for dinner at Little Havana yesterday and overall, it wasn’t a good experience. We weren’t offered any bread for the table. Only once we saw others get bread, we had to ask for it. The food took around 40 minutes to arrive. No communication about the delays, no one around to take another round of drinks orders or anything. My steak was done correctly, however, one of the guests at the table received rare when she ordered medium. She sent the steak back to be cooked further, and it didn’t look like they did anything to it when she received it back. It was still rare. We had to take the steak as a takeaway so she can microwave it at home. The brownie for...

We attended recently for an evening meal and were disappointed. Unfortunately one of our party was unable to join and this was pointed out a couple of times to us which made us feel a bit unwelcome as a now slightly smaller party. I had ordered the surf and turf and was brought the mini one, only finding out when I pointed out that the fish was a lot smaller than I was expecting. I said I'd ordered the normal one and was told that was much too big a meal and would likely have fed the whole table. My meal was also too salty. They offered to take it away and scrape the salt off the steak and make fresh sides but unfortunately when it returned the steak was overcooked (due to I suspect being under heating lamps) and things still tasted salty. I was offered a free dessert but as we has 2 young children with us and everyone else had finished I declined. My meal was deducted from the bill as I was unable to eat but overall still disappointed with our evening and will be unlikely to return or...

Little Havana is known for their steaks, and they did not disappoint. They brought us the steak board to show us the selection, we ordered the ribeye and the fillet on the bone. Our son had the pork belly and our daughter had 2 starters. My wife’s steak was initially over cooked so they changed it with no fuss. There are a number of sauces to choose from, we had 2 of which one was a hit and one was a miss. The ribeye and pork belly were perfect. The service was exemplary, Owen looked after us and he was just perfect for our table: approachable, knowledgeable and lots of fun. Overall we had a great experience. The few problems we had were dealt with professionally and more than that you can’t ask for. Pricing is reasonable for the quality of food. I would definitely go back again.

The food and the atmosphere were good. The restaurant was not crowded while I was there for dinner. The complementary bread was soft and fresh out of the oven, and the sirloin with steamed vegetables and Rum & BBQ sauce was delicious. However, they sprinkled some course salt on the meat, which I didn't really like. The sirloin had a bit of fat to it, which I was not fond of. I ended up eating the meal without the sauce as it was tastier. I also had a double chocolate brownie dessert. However, the brownie was not soft enough to put a spoon through.

Great food, excellent service and overall a wonderful experience dining at Little Havana. Portions are very generous, special requests are never too much effort for the staff and they make you feel at home and very welcome. The prawn skewer with salad which I had for a starter was delicious. So too was my husbands calamari and chorizo. For mains I had pork ribs, no extra basting when grilled and sweet potato. My husband ordered pork belly with sweet potato. You should definitely pay this restaurant a visit. You will not regret it.
