Zepi Grill & Buffet — Restaurant in Oranjezicht

I've eaten in my fair share of hotel restaurants. When you're on vacation in somewhere foreign, normally you wouldn't want to eat at a hotel. We were staying as guests at the Tsogo Sun hotel, and were too tired to go out to get food so we "settled" for the hotel restaurant. We were BLOWN away! We got an apetizer, two entrees, and a desert. Everything was delicious! Beyond delicious. My boyfriend actually complimented the chef as we left because he was so happy with what he got. We also had wine, which was perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in this hotel as well as to anyone NOT staying in the hotel. The manager was also so nice and personable....

This is a review for the breakfast buffet. It was nice, a typical hotel breakfast buffet. The quality of the bacon and sausages were not terrible, but not the greatest. Everything else was nice if a bit overcooked. They poached me some eggs which were very good and they have a automatic pancake maker which I also enjoyed. The staff were a bit of a disappointment, hanging out together, laughing and joking and not very attentive. The one lady in the blue shirt helped me nicely, however, the red shirts were useless. My girlfriend and I are traveling from New York, and we ate here last night since we are guests in the hotel. My girlfriend ordered goat cheese ravioli and I ordered smoked pork belly. Not only was this one of the best meals I had in Cape Town, but it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had anywhere. The pork was soft and juicy and it blew me away with flavor.
