This restaurant is stunningly done out inside (situated where old Balduccis used to be so well-positioned in the V&A too) and our first experience on my birthday was really lovely and faultless.
Staff were friendly and attentive, seating and tables are nicely spaced out and the food was sublime. We were walk-ins but I would book a table if we go again because they do get busy even on weekdays.
I tried the Three Greek Brothers, I think it was called (basically a pita trio) and it was divine, as well as one of their yummy frozen cocktails. We also ate some pita bread. All the food was fresh, flavourful and perfectly Greek.
Food is reasonably priced and they have a varied menu with a wide selection of Greek foods.
Bathroom is clean and lovely too. Everything was spotless.
I will definitely go back and such a pleasure to have a good restaurant experience at the V&A because often the restaurants there are a hit-and-miss or insanely expensive to locals.
Mythos is a chain eatery so I am keen to try the one close to me...
Read moreVisited Mythos for our staff function and as the place had been highly recommended, we chose this venue above a few others. Lovely setting and atmosphere. We had pre ordered from a set menu as we were a party of 25. Had to send 1 steak back as the portion size was laughable and they replaced. My beef burger was large but grossly undercooked. The mince on the inside was totally raw and I could not eat that portion. One person did not arrive but the meal was supposed to be a take away. After we paid, I realised that the meal was not included even though we had paid for it. Had to wait for them to prepare the meal. Besides the above, most people were happy with their meals. The only complaints were on the portion sizes of the steaks. Will be back sometime to give another try as I would like to believe all the hype. Toilets were unisex which I can't believe would work when the place is very busy. There are only 2 cubicles in the...
Read moreThis in the actual mall and you would think it’s a weird place to eat a decent meal, but actually it’s a really lovely place for supper, we’ve been a few times. They have two vegetarian options-falafel and halloumi- which they can make into a main for you. The portion sizes are also pretty good. They have a kids section but my kids tend to have the either the prawn starter with a side of chips if one of them wants the pasta or they share a main prawns with chips. The pastas are good, prawns are perfectly cooked in garlic butter, I love the calamari here and they offer it grilled but my fave on the menu are the mussels. They are delicious, with a bit of chilli and were not over cooked like so many places in SA. They have a decent selection of non alcoholic drinks and the atmosphere is actually really good, considering...
