폴리스팬케이크 연남 (polyspancake) — Restaurant in Seoul

Okay this is one of my top dessert experiences in Korea, and as a dessert fiend, I’ve had MANY in my trip here.

the lightest, fluffiest pancakes with a crispy edge and satisfyingly chewy middle. The flavors were excellent and lightly sweet. It was like biting into a sweet chewy cloud. I got the double chocolate with a chocolate latte drink.

The staff were so so kind and sweet as well!

Would give zero stars if I could.

Cafe has a policy that each person has to order one drink each. So we did.

It’s a crime to sell their ‘special’ milk tea for $7 when it tastes of condensed milk with no hint of tea taste.

The pancakes are average at best. Nothing special. Don’t get how they pride themselves as a pancake specialty place.

Did they get so many good reviews because of the $1 discount customers get when they do a review? I’d rather miss out on that dollar and do everyone a favour instead.

If you’re a tourist or a local in the area, it would be wise to use your money and calories on something better.

In response to seller: The owner has seemed to have missed the point. Our main critique stems from the taste of the food and drinks. We understand cafe’s policy to have 1 drink per person. Each cafe has its own rules. None of the other google reviews seemed to have highlighted this, so we wanted to.

Tasty drinks would have done the policy justice. Unfortunately with the current quality of their milk tea, customers cannot be helped but feel like they have been forced to waste $7 to purchase a subpar drink.

Seller says the milk foam may not have suited my taste buds, but I beg to defer. The tea tasted nothing like tea, but tasted like condensed milk diluted in water instead.
