우선 이곳의 메인은 떡볶이다. 내가시킨건 로제떡볶이고 토핑을 고를 수 있는 메뉴였다. 중국당면 튀김과 포테이토중 고를 수 있는데 중국당면 튀김이 궁굼해서 중국당면튀김을 선택했다.

중국당면 특유의 쫄깃함이 잘 살아있는 튀김이라 아주 맛있었다. 꿔바로우에서 고기를 빼고 쫀득한 튀김부분만 먹는 느낌이었다.

떡볶이 자체 맛은 막 엄청 맛있지는 않았지만, 그냥 무난하게 먹기 좋다. 보통맛으로 시키니 적당히 매콤해서 튀김류와 같이 먹기가 좋다.

이집은 떡볶이가 메인이지만 의외로 돈까스가 퀄리티가 좋아 유명하다. 아주 유명한 일식집 돈까스만큼은 못해도 동네 웬만한 돈까스집 보다는 돈까스를 잘한다.

그리고 이 돈까스가 생각보다 떡볶이와 궁합이좋다. 떡볶이를 좋아한다면 한번쯤 도전해볼만한 곳

돈까스와 떡볶이는 둘이서먹기에는 조금많고 셋이서 먹기에는 모자른 양이었다.

A great place for affordable and delicious food in Yeonnam-dong

First of all, the main dish here is tteokbokki (spicy rice cake). I ordered the rose tteokbokki which is a menu where you can choose your own toppings. I chose the Chinese-style fried noodles over potatoes.

The fried noodles had a unique chewy texture and were very tasty. It felt like eating just the crispy part of the meat in a Chinese-style crispy pork belly dish.

The tteokbokki itself wasn't particularly amazing in taste, but it was good enough to enjoy without any complaints. I ordered it with medium spice, which was just the right amount of spiciness to enjoy with the fried noodles.

Although tteokbokki is the main dish here, surprisingly their tonkatsu (Japanese-style fried pork cutlet) is also famous for its quality. It may not be as famous as some well-known Japanese restaurants' tonkatsu, but it is better than most of the tonkatsu restaurants in the neighborhood.

In addition, the tonkatsu goes surprisingly well with the tteokbokki. If you like tteokbokki, this place is definitely worth trying at least once.

The portions of tteokbokki and tonkatsu were a bit too much for two people, but not quite enough for three. If you're trying other kind tteokbokki, I recommend trying the fried noodles and tonkatsu.
