Coffee Libre — Restaurant in Seoul

There are a lot of coffee places in Seoul but if you're into specialty coffee then your options are very limited. I found Coffee Libre when browsing for the 'best speciality coffee' and decided to plan a short trip to Myeongdong. First of all, the location of Coffe Libre is great and already made the trip worth the effort. It's located near Myeongdong Cathedral and can be reached through the underground complex. I ordered an espresso and a (roast of the day) Costa Rica AeroPress brew. The espresso that I had should please those who like their espresso strong and spicy, not so much those who want to discover new flavors but it was definitely well made. The Costa Rica coffee was a little underwhelming to me as the fruity tastes seemed to be a little subdued in favor of a fuller body. I would've loved to try other origins but unfortunately they could only use the roast of the day, perhaps a coffee from Kenya or Ethiopia would've given me a different impression as I'm not all that familiar with the taste of coffee from Costa Rica in the first place. Still, I highly recommend paying Coffee Libre a visit and trying their espresso. Perhaps I should taste a cappuccino...

Their coffee is super fresh, reasonable price, staffs know about coffee. I normally drink coffee at home though, i buy coffee beans from their cafe or purchase them online.

Every week, they have variety of new coffee beans so its really fun to try them all! I specially love sour flavored coffee and its really easy to find them at their website or at the cafe.

You can easily find roasted date on the coffee bag and you can tell its super fresh! I mean you can actually just smell it and it smells like heaven!

Hidden cozy café nestled in Myeongdong cathedral serving specialty coffee!! They serve oatly milk here, and the oat latte was just super creamy and delicious, super well done!! ☕️💯👍 Coffee beans are sold here, and apparently you get a free cuppa when you purchase a bag of beans 😊.

Love the tranquil ambience of this place, most possibly cause it’s in a cathedral, it gave off very peaceful vibes when I was here on a Wed morning 💕. The staff are very helpful and courteous and there’s free wifi. It was a pleasant experience...
