Poor experience at this Daiso ever!!
When I attempted to seek assistance, I was met with hostility. One employee, a middle-aged woman, spoke to me in Korean, which I do not understand. I politely asked if she could communicate in English, but she continued to respond with a dismissive tone and a condescending expression by repeating what I was saying in English…. suggesting a discriminatory attitude towards non-Korean visitors.
When I sought to report this incident to another staff member, I was told that all employees are Korean and that I could not file a complaint. The response I received felt like an attempt to brush off my concerns, as if they were eager to get rid of me.
Additionally, during the checkout process, I experienced further discomfort as I was rushed and bumped into by multiple employees, which added to my negative experience.

Read moreI don't understand the popularity of this store. This 12-story building looks impressive from outside. I thought it would have a big selection of items. But the area in each floor is very small and the selection is very limited. There was a long line waiting to use the only elevator. I was trying to buy a voltage converter and toiletry bags. They were located on the top floor. So I climbed the stairs to the 12-th floor only to find very very limited selection. The claimed voltage converter seem very low quality and does not seem to be able to actually convert voltage. The toiletry bags available are also low quality. It is true that they are cheap. But I would rather pay more for better...
Read moreThis is the 2nd Daiso store in the Myeongdong area. Not to be confused with the other 12 floor tower retail store at the other far end of the street. This one near the Cathedral has a ground floor flat retail space which honestly has a better layout. Lots of stuff to check and see. Self checkout counter is at the exit. Very convenient and not so packed with customers unlike the other Daiso Tower which is more popular but is totally full of tourist. Shopping here is more relaxed and easy. Small entrance that leads to the basement which is larger than it looks from...
