It was my first time sitting down and ordering in South Korea since I have just landed here last night. I was a bit nervous but the staff was welcoming and understood some English and I was able to enjoy my Korean barbecue experience. I was alone and there was a minimum of 2 orders of meat from the meat menu so I ordered skirt pork and beef spare rib and I ordered a bottle of beer and small cup of steamed rice. All the sides of pickled veggies, lettuce m, garlic and green spicy pepper and Napa cabbage and green onion kimchi were all ready by the time you sit on their table. It was a nice night out so I chose outside table. It was a great experience. My bill came back ~60k KRW. ...

Tasty BBQ, great atmosphere - loud, a bit chaotic and fun. The queue can get long if you are more than 2 people, though.

The pork platter for 2 with a side dish like rice or noodles is more than enough and we actually had to leave a bit of the pork belly.

Also, their spicy cold noodles are a recommendation. They say „spicy“ but it is the right amount for someone used to tame western European food. If you like proper SEA spicy, this is not it. The beef stew side and kimchi however has a bit more oomph.

Overall very enjoyable and a recommendation if you are looking for a classic Korean BBQ and a place that...

Meat comes in small portions and is of very average quality, certainly not worth the price. What disappointed me the most was the service. Im a native English speaker who is learning Korean & I politely asked the server lady in English if she could please bring me a plate. she then made a rude remark towards me in korean thinking I wouldn't understand her. Disgusting. When I confronted her about what she said she played dumb and scurried off. I Wouldn’t recommend this place to foreigners, they don’t respect tourists and will insult you in Korean if they think they can get...

Good Korean bbq experience - Jongsamyook! The shop is on the pricey side. However, it was a fulfilling experience. The meats tasted fresh, as well as the veggies and condiments. Condiments and sauces are good complement with the meats. The staff suggested a good soju. The shop is very conveniently located; just outside the subway (Jongno-3, Exit 6). We were also accommodated even before opening time. Must try if you want to have an authentic Korea experience.

I had three portion of different meats. I was a little disappointed that their most expensive cut of meat had some tendon left in it. For the price they charge you, this place doesn't cook for you. Their side dishes are okay. They're kimchi is so long that you have to cut it yourself. For paying a little more, you can go to places that offer better quality meats. I guess it's the location that they can demand a higher price with lower quality meats.
