LA BAB Itaewon — Restaurant in Seoul

Very inexpensive and good quality Korean staples, open 24 hours like the Korean version of Denny's. The worker imo reminds me of the soup nazi, no nonsense and highly efficient and proud. Fortunately, if you don't know Korean there's a kiosk where you can order in English. It is seriously amazing how much food you get for a few bucks especially compared to a lot of the Korean restaurants around Itaewon where the meals start at $15, and it doesn't look like you can get anything to go and a lot of menus are not in English. The place also has powerful AC which you'll appreciate in August w 80 to 90% humidity. Did I tell you how cheap and clean the food is here? Seriously, the only thing that compares is Mom's Touch down the road w chicken 'burgers' and beef burgers but honestly I've gotten sick a few times there. Never had problems w the food here which you'll appreciate...

What a suprise! We went into LaBab because there were no other restaurants that gave us the feeling of being in south korea in our area and it was a great suprise! You order at a self-service-automat, it was only in korean but there were pictures with it so we knew what we would order. The food took 5 - 10 minutes and the cook shouted our number in korean. (If you cannot speak korean, just like us, I would highly recommend to take a seat as near at the kitchen as possible. You can just show her your number!) The food tasted great and was at a very good pricing.

Très mauvaise expérience. Le personnel a été extrêmement désagréable. Nous étions un groupe qui a pourtant fait un gros chiffre d’affaires ce soir-là, mais la serveuse s’est mise à crier simplement parce que j’ai demandé un ticket de caisse (nécessaire pour mon travail). Il n’y avait quasiment personne dans le restaurant, donc je ne comprends pas cette réaction. Même un client coréen présent a essayé de lui traduire calmement notre demande (que nous avions aussi montrée sur téléphone), mais elle a répondu qu’elle n’avait pas que ça à faire. Nous avons pourtant été polis et patients. Franchement, si vous voulez éviter de vous faire crier dessus sans raison, passez votre chemin.

Very bad experience. The staff was extremely rude. We came as a group and spent a lot that evening, yet the waitress started yelling just because I asked for a receipt (which I need for my work). The restaurant was almost empty, so there was no reason for such behavior. Even a Korean customer tried to calmly translate our request (which we had also shown on the phone), but she shouted that she “didn’t have time for that.” We were polite and patient the whole time. Honestly, if you don’t want to be yelled at for no reason, I recommend avoiding this place.

정말 불쾌한 경험이었습니다. 직원이 매우 무례했습니다. 우리는 단체로 와서 많은 금액을 결제했는데, 영수증을 달라고 요청했을 뿐인데 직원이 소리를 질렀습니다. 식당에는 손님이 거의 없었기 때문에 그런 반응은 이해할 수 없었습니다. 한국인 손님 한 분이 우리 말을 번역해서 도와주려고 했지만, 직원은 “그럴 시간 없다”고 했습니다. 우리는 예의 바르고 차분하게 이야기했는데도 그랬습니다. 괜히 기분 나쁜 일 겪고 싶지 않다면, 이곳은...
