Along with Tamayura of JW Marriott and Sushi Cho of Westin Josun, It is the top 3 upscale Japanese restaurant with good reputation. (It would be much better if the entrance of the restaurant is to be designed in more luxurious and unique way like a Tamayura.) And according to its reputation, each course is well planned and arranged with good configuration. Especially, seafood to meat, Japanese to fusion Chinese is impressive, not to make the journey of flavors monotonous. Prices without any benefit for discount are not moderate but the private fine dining in the sunset is wonderful experience. The restaurant is recommended especially for business and couples. Staffs are attentive, professional and kind. Valet parking is available for various platinum...
Read moreHeard that having Japanese cuisine like Omakase in Korea would never be as good as having it in Japan, but that’s not true at all. Momoyama is on a par with other fine-dining omakase restaurants in Japan or anywhere else in the world.
Each ingredient was so fresh that you could taste the ocean. The combination of ingredients also added various layers to each dish. I thoroughly enjoyed having lunch at Momoyama in Lotte Hotel Seoul.
The dining experience was most pleasant with the soft lighting and natural lighting from the panoramic scenic windows. The decor was very Japanese with elements of wood and nature. The restaurant wasn’t crowded or noisy. It felt very cozy and relaxing to be sitting at the counter whilst looking at the amazing view.
The service was excellent. The chef (Section Chef Kim Ji Ho) and waiting staff were attentive and explained the dishes and course throughout the meal.
Absolutely fabulous restaurant with delectable sushi, sashimi and other Japanese dishes.
Would definitely go back for lunch again and...
Read moreHands down one of the best Japanese dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, I truly felt transported straight to the heart of Tokyo. The ambiance was calm, elegant, and authentically Japanese in every detail.
The food? Impeccable. Every bite was a reminder of how incredible Japanese cuisine can be when done right. The fish was unbelievably fresh and perfectly prepared—melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted, and the flavors were clean, balanced, and deeply satisfying. Worth every single dime.
The service was just as impressive—attentive and respectful.
