Another stalls feature on Netflix series "Street Food". However this stall really standout among all the other stalls feature on Netflix. Despite high traffic and long queue. The stall able to maintain its high quality and friendly atmosphere. The raw beef with pear from this stall is the best one we had in South Korea. The mung bean pancake was cooked just right and not too oily at all. Sharing this dish with good friends is a real pleasure and another memorable experience in South Korea.

가끔씩 언급을 하지만 난 녹두빈대떡을 좋아해서 특히나 어렸을 때 명절에 음식을 하면 제일 기대하는 메뉴가 갈비찜이나 새우튀김 또는 지금까지 한 번도 좋아해본 적이 없는 잡채 같은 거 말고 녹두빈대떡이었음. 후라이팬에서 노릇하게 갓 구워낸 녹두빈대떡을 간장에 찍어 먹으면 넘 맛있고 냉장고에 뒀다 다시 데워먹어도 좋고 아니면 엄마가 김치찌개에 넣어 빈대떡찌개로 해줘도 넘 맛있었음. 기억에 가장 맛있게 먹었던 녹두빈대떡은 지난번 핏제리아 우노 리뷰에 올렸던 작년 강남역 침수 때 제네시스 현자라고 알려졌던 침수된 제네시스 차량 위에 앉아있던 남자분의 사진에 배경으로 보이던 요즘 자주 언급되는 서이초교 사거리 릿타워 자리에 있던 상가건물 2층의 은성회관에서 먹었던 거였음. 어렸을 적 기억 속의 은성회관 녹두빈대떡을 찾아 여러 가게를 다니던 중 광장시장에서 녹두빈대떡으로 유명한 원조순희네빈대떡도 기대를 갖고 방문했었는데 너무 커다란 양파가 썰려 들어간 간장의 맛도 그렇고 차라리 예전에 종로빈대떡에서 먹었던 녹두빈대떡이 더 낫게 느껴져 기대보단 못했던 기억임. 그러다 SJR님의 리뷰에서 여기 박가네빈대떡을 알게 됐고 이 집은 어떤지 궁금해 이쪽 동네 가게들을 도는 루트를 짜고 첫 가게로 방문해 봄. 코로나로 인한 여행자 입국 제한이 풀려선지 주말 광장시장은 입구부터 해외 관광객을 포함 손님들이 많은데 박가네빈대떡을 찾고 보니 옆의 원조순희네빈대떡보단 조금 덜하지만 역시나 인기있는 느낌인데 웨이팅하는 손님들이 있길래 서서 빈대떡 한 장만 먹고 가도 되는지 빈대떡을 기름에 지글지글 튀기듯 굽고 계시는 이모님께 여쭈니 그렇게는 안 된다고 하셔서 그냥 줄 뒤에 서서 기다림. 기다리면서 보니 계단도 있길래 올라가 보니 계단이 또 있어 3층까지 있는 느낌임. 드디어 내 순서가 됐고 메뉴는 볼 것도 없이 맷돌빈대떡 한 장을 부탁드림. 손님이 워낙 많아 물을 마시며 기다리니 어느 정도 지나 드디어 맷돌빈대떡 한 장이 준비됐고 슥 보니 원조순희네빈대떡과 비주얼로는 비슷해서 두툼하면서 볼륨감이 괜찮고 숫가락을 수직으로 세워 먹기 좋게 자른 후 양파간장에 찍어 맛을 보니 빈대떡은 겉은 바삭하지만 안은 빵 같은 폭신한 식감이고 양파간장은 식초가 제법 들어갔는지 시큼함이 느껴짐. 예전 은성회관 같은 갈빗집이나 아님 최근에 제일 맘에 들었던 독산동 진영회관 같은 수준까진 아니지만 그래도 한 장을 다 먹으니 배가 제법 부르고 뭔가 순희네빈대떡보단 좀 더 낫게 느껴져 굳이 재방문하진 않을 것 같지만 맛있다로..

Best mungbean pancakes ever! Served warm and crispy. Great with the onions in soy sauce served on the side. Crowded and noisy, but it was expected as being in a market. I was happy that they had decent seatings (they have many seatings!). It was little hard go get the waiters attention to order as there were so many people.

This was one of the rudest experiences I’ve ever had. I came in feeling good, but I’m leaving completely disgusted. The older man working here was unbelievably rude. When I tried to order, he ignored me and just walked past as if I didn’t exist. Another customer asked about extra chairs, and he turned around and clicked his tongue in annoyance. When I asked if the pancake (bindaetteok) would take more than 30–40 minutes, he snapped, “It takes a long time,” in the most unpleasant tone possible. So I said, “Then I’ll just cancel,” and he looked straight at me and said, “That’s completely out of line.” That was incredibly disrespectful and insulting. I’ve never been treated this poorly in any restaurant. I even brought a friend who lives abroad, hoping they’d have a good time, but I felt almost embarrassed to have...

If you don’t want to be yelled at for no reason, stay away.

The staff outside the food truck was unbelievably rude—the rudest I’ve ever met. My boyfriend and I politely double-checked (in Korean) if they had smaller pancakes. Instead of answering, the woman started aggressively slamming the premade pancakes in front of us, “This is the only size we have.” When we asked why she shouted at us, she replied that she just couldn’t understand why two people would want a smaller portion. Well I believe everyone has the right to choose what size they want.

What a bad experience. There are plenty of other food trucks around—save yourself the trouble and go somewhere that actually respects...
