I recently visited Paul Bassett coffee shop and while the drinks were decent, I was extremely disappointed with the way the staff behaved. After leaving the Palace and walking a few steps to the coffee shop, I purchased a take-out drink and accidentally sat down in one of the chairs. Although the shop was not very busy, with only about 10 customers, a staff member came over and told me that I was not allowed to sit inside the shop because I only bought a take-out drink.

I found this treatment of customers to be unacceptable, especially considering the location of the shop right next to a tourist area. While the drinks were satisfactory, the poor customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope that in the future, the staff at Paul Bassett coffee shop can improve their behavior towards customers and provide a more welcoming...

Amazing Coffee Shop atmosphere. The location next to the Palace makes it quite practical.

Unfortunately the lack of behaviour and professionalism experienced contrasting the locale in this location on Friday Nov. 28th, 2014 at 4:00 pm was overwhelmingly dissapointing.

After completing an order, the employees told me about about asking me for a "discount". The discount ended up being a personal overcharge done by the workers.

The Manager Kim Ji ho has taken full responsibility to show her lead in this lack of professionalism.

If it we're not for the rude workers, I would recommend this establishment. But due to the circumstances I Definitely Do not recommend.

My...

I purchased one croissant and one pastel de nata to go for breakfast.

the croissant was very bad. It was a bit burnt and it was very far from the awesome mouth melting texture a croissant should have. They also serve it cold and it felt like it was a bit old. the pastel de nata was average, a bit too sweet in my opinion and it lacked a bit in flavor

For a bakery kind of place, I think the croissant is usually o good item to judge the quality of the food. I wouldnโ€™t come back here...

This place opens early. Hard to find good coffee open early in Seoul. The vanilla bean latte was nice and not overly sweet. The chestnut bread and custard bread was delicious. We enjoyed it and decided to go back the next day. Milk ice cream is really good too. Great location to meet up. Validated parking.
