Not sure where to start with this review as there really isn't much of a positive. I guess I'll start with the food. We ordered one serving of the premium black pork belly and one serving of marinated pork ribs. For the price, I do not think the pork belly was worth it. Yes it was tender and juicy but not worth it in my opinion. The marinated pork was pretty good.
Now for the 'service', till this day I am not sure why I persisted when I should've known better and walked away. Maybe it was becaue we were tired from all the walking and was hungry. We visited this place after lunch time and when we entered, there were only 2 occupied tables. Instead of informing us politely that their policy is to wait outside until called, we were instead rudely shouted at. As I mentioned earlier, this should have been the red flag for me to walk away but unfortunately we did not thus had to face the consequences of overpriced average food.
Definitely do NOT recommend and will...
Read moreWe want to add two more people into our party, but were denied in a rude way. There were plenty of open tables, so why is it so hard to add on or talk nicely. We want to order two orders of intestines for grill, but wasn’t sure which intestines some of us like. So we want to order one mix order to figure out which we like and order another one after. We already got denied on this and were told we need to order two orders now in a rude way. Our foods were burnt as you could see in the photo. The intestines are uncooked. I ate intestines many time in Los Angeles Korean town, so I know how it takes to cook and what cooked intestines taste like. I ate at many 2 and 3 stars out of 5 Korean restaurants, but never experienced any unpleasant like this for a 4 stars place. Very disappointed. Our server was an middle age lady.
Credit must be give to the dipping sauce. The taste was good. Wished the foods weren’t burnt...
Read moreYes yes not the best lighting but move on. As my first kbbq in korea having had my fair share back in Australia I was quite pleasantly surprised by the tender juicy and slight crunch of the caramelized pork belly. It is served with (from what I'm told) a type of leaf from Jeju island that honestly had a unique umami that tasted like chicken when paired with the pork belly. Sesame leaf, two salads(one light with fruit and the other with sliced vegetable and spicey paste), purple salt and traditional dipping sauce. Whilst there I also had the staple kimchi stew and cold noodles (like soba) to pair with the pork and experience "korean food". I do have to say, the size of the pork belly is abit of a dice roll and you may get a slightly larger or smaller piece and as with most east asian countries, meat...
