A Culinary Dream – Flawless Food, Views, and Vibes
Dining here was more than just a meal – it was a full sensory experience. From start to finish, everything was executed with precision, passion, and creativity.
We began with oysters and caviar – the quality was immediately clear. The Royal Belgian Caviar (Osietra), served with crunchy homemade bread and the flavorful butter we’ve ever tasted, was simply divine, maybe the best I've ever trued. It set the tone for the rest of the evening.
Then came the Balfegó tuna tartare – melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The carabineros (giant red Atlantic prawns) were cooked in garlic butter and served with a separate yuzu-miso butter, adding a bright, umami-rich twist. Each dish showcased not only exceptional ingredients, but also a mastery of diverse techniques.
The fish of the day – a corvina – was served with a popcorn sauce, Canarian green mojo, and tobiko (flying fish roe). A unique and perfectly balanced combination, full of texture, depth, and originality.
For dessert, we shared a crispy cannolo, a mix of chocolate textures, and a cheesecake – all beautifully plated and delicious. Every course was a celebration of flavor and craftsmanship.
The cocktails are also worth mentioning – creative and well-balanced. We especially recommend the Bloody Hell Margarita for tequila lovers: a bold mix of tabasco, salt, and fresh orange juice.
The house-made bread and olive oil were exceptional. Honestly, that olive oil was the best we’ve ever tasted.
Service was impeccable – warm, attentive, but never overbearing. The wine list is remarkable, and the Vidonia VP was a highlight – a true gem among local wines. Spirits lovers will also appreciate the thoughtful selection of rums and whiskies.
The ambiance is dreamlike. A golden sunset over La Gomera, lush greenery, flowers, soft lighting, and the unmistakable feeling that this place is loved – by the team and the guests alike. Every detail, from tableware to decor, is intentional and artistic.
You can tell the chefs here truly know what they’re doing – the freshness of the ingredients and the level of technique shine through in every bite. We can’t wait to return and try the Chef Tasting Menu, which, judging by this experience, must be out...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I visited this restaurant on the 5th of July, and we had a lovely experience. We were seated on the balcony, which offered a stunning view of the sea, just in time to watch the sunset. The atmosphere alone made the evening feel special.
We chose this spot because of its wide selection of seafood dishes, as well as a few vegetarian options, which can be hard to find in the area, so that was definitely a plus for us.
We each started with a cocktail, which were well-made and refreshing. My boyfriend wanted to pair his meal with a nice white wine, and we received excellent assistance from your server Simone from Italy, along with another team member, whose name we unfortunately didn’t catch, who offered great knowledge and helped find the perfect match.
One of the highlights for me was trying oysters for the very first time. To my surprise, I really enjoyed them. That said, if you’re not a fan of seafood or strong ocean flavors, oysters might not be for you. We also began with the Garlic Edamame and the spinach and cheese croquettes, which my boyfriend had. The edamame was so tasty that we ended up ordering it twice, and my boyfriend really liked the croquettes.
For the main course, I had the whole lobster with truffle butter, which was rich and flavorful, though it does take a bit of effort to get to the meat, which I didn’t mind. My boyfriend ordered the wild mushroom ravioli, which unfortunately left him a bit underwhelmed due to the small portion size, so he ended up ordering another serving of croquettes instead.
To finish off the meal, I had the lemon cake, while he opted for the crème brûlée. Both desserts were a sweet ending to a great evening.
All in all, we truly enjoyed our experience here and are grateful for the warm and attentive service. We look forward to coming back the next time we...
Read moreFrom outside the restaurant, you are caught by a breathtaking view of the atlantic ocean following the flashing and bright gold lights of the inside of Almar. At the entrance there is a lovely christmas tree and the ambiance was really warm to the point that i felt at home next to the fireplace. The servers were very friendly as they described every single dish including the different types of bread !
We had : -Wagyu A5 barbecue -Scallops with coconut, mango, and lime Béchamel -Red prawn risotto -Local fish Almar- Style -Japanese rice with wagyu fat, marinated yolk, garlic and chives Garden salad Cheese cake with berries foam and cookie ice cream -Crème brulée -Lemon pie ( lemon crumble, flambéed meringue, lemon curd and yuzu ) A tiny cup of Espresso
The bread with olive oil and fresh sea salt flakes was already stunning as we could not wait for the actual course ! 😅 We thought that the scallops were nice and fresh, as so like the risotto in which we wanted to have more red prawn ! Garden salad had nothing special, but that wagyu barbecue was so melt-in-your-mouth (as others say), the sensational taste accompagnied by the truffle dip was exquisite !!!! That was a must ! 😁 We loved the cured egg and garlic flavor in the japanese rice. To finish off we had a bit too much of dessert by ordering 3 for 4 person. The creme brulee was really well '' bruleed'', as well as the cheesecake which was our favorite one. Though, the lemon curd had not a really familiar taste to us but the presentation was tremendous.
We will DEFINITELY come back to taste the tasting menu, as well as enjoying the...
