I was there for a lunch, to be honest the meal I ordered deserve 4 ⭐️ because the fish and the sirloin steak was really good, so the kitchen staff is good, but I’m rating low because of the staff and specially the “manager”. First of all, the waiter cleaned spraying the chemical on the table beside us while we drank the sangria so I said please, could you wet the cloth instead of spray on it, he said not, is better on the table 🤦🏻♀️ his attitude was impolite. After another waiter was doing not appropriate jokes to another customers beside us and finally when we want to paid the bill the “some kind of owner” said is not internet to pay by card while another said they have it. We said at least agree what is going on, then the “manager” who said is also some kind of owner said impolitely that we should go to the ATM to get money and pay, another customers also disagree with that because we have to pay a fee for withdrawal money and the “manager” said that he also has to pay for the DATAFONO service 🤦🏻♀️ that is ridiculous and is not our responsibility. I guess that service is included in the bill. Finally, after an argument the manager agreed to discount 5€ in the bill, but he insulted the group in our absence. Awful experience in dealing with a guy like this. He thinks that is the only one that provides meals in the island, big mistake. He has lost 6 customers for ever. People should be more empathetic and treat people as you like to be treated, your income depends on the customers and you must respect them. . . . #goodfood #badexperience #awfulexperience #respectyourcustomers #tenerifeisnotyourhome #tenerifeisourhome #treatpeopleasyouliketobetreated...
Read moreDISAPPOINTED. Have eaten here very many times over the years. Always wondered why people bothered to queue. The food was why. BUT disappointed this time. Portions not as good & prices have increased significantly. Yes I'm aware prices have gone up everywhere. But with a vast choice locally it was the: quality, cost, portions & famed aioli that made it stand out, way above the others. These factors Compensated for its lack: 1 poor, tiny, non locking to loo. A basic setting & cramped seating. These were doable because the the food. However, It becomes difficult to make allowances when the factors that drew, are some what reduced. Then its lack is emphasised. Especially when the majority of competitors have tasty food & far superior decor with decent toilets too. Example: Compared to full English breakfasts had elsewhere. The Gran Paella English had 1 less egg, less beans, toast & no butter nor jam and was just 45p/€ cheaper than we'd paid elsewhere. Whilst the tuna salad could have 1/2 the fish. The salad was mediocre. This has always been one of my favourites, but the salad was disappointing, the tomato raw and the famed aioli not offered & a fraction the lettuce etc on the plate. Having seen others meals too. Again they did not appear to be of the former calibre. Certainly not worth our long walk to get there. Such a shame. In the past we've recommended the Gran paella to many, but can no longer see the benefit. I do hope...
Read moreJust for be clear, I work in the hospitality industry from 17 years, so I know what I’m talking about.
My wife and I are in Tenerife from a week and that was the most disappointed meal that we had on this beautiful island.
We were lured in from the outstanding review on Tripadvisor (than now I’m question the authenticity) we ordered grilled prawns, fried squid and a seafood paella.
Prawns wasn’t grilled but served in a cast iron dish covered in oil and burned garlic. They were small and tasteless, 100% frozen.
Calamari was tasteless, tough and soggy, they should learn how to batter fish and as for the prawns I’m pretty sure (absolutely certain) that they were also frozen.
3)Paella as huge as disappointing. Very salty full of cheap cut of cod or similar, so overcooked that the shellfish became so small and tough that I had to discard them all and burned all over the top...we basically left it all.
In perfect line with our dissatisfied meal were our friendly waiter that as soon as he realised that we were unhappy he disappear, ignoring us the all time...literally NO ONE check back on us, or ask us how was our experience.
In conclusion, STAY AWAY FROM...
