Honestly all I can say is that the owners must be extremely greedy people. New Years Eve was ruined for the whole family! We booked in November when there was only one other booking for that night and yet still didn’t get served. We booked for 9pm, got there, and there was an huge queue full of people who all also had bookings for 9pm. This queue was not managed at all and had people pushing in to the front. We even saw one entitled family push to the front and, when someone complained, the staff member seating people said that he knew the owner. How does that make it okay for him to be seated before everybody else?? It took until 50 minutes past 9pm for us to get sick of waiting and go find a staff member to ask what was going on with our table. Meanwhile, another member of my group spoke to an already seated table who seemed to just be sitting there with no food, turns out they had been there since 7pm with no meals!! Absolutely terrible management of every part of the restaurant. We spoke to a manager but asked for the owner, only to be told he wasn’t there tonight! Convenient! Whilst we were speaking to a manager and trying to get our table that we’ve had booked for ages, we saw many other families, seated and still in the queue, also complaining, with no food or no table. The queue was still huge at 10pm, full of people who had 9pm bookings. We finally got a table after complaining for a while at management but the staff member told us he couldn’t guarantee food to come any quicker than 30 minutes. Which sounds fine but some people had been sat since 7pm with no food so we knew it was not going to happen. We did manage to get our deposit back, luckily, but it took some convincing. The staff seemed confused that we didn’t accept the table and that we wanted to leave, but we had 8 year olds with us, it was hard enough to wait until 10pm to be seated, let alone however much more to actually receive the food. So many disappointed people on what is supposed to be a very happy day! Even as we were leaving, there were still people queuing for their 9pm bookings. It’s absolutely disgraceful to overbook this much. It has to be just pure greed...
Read moreThis was, sadly, one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had.
When we arrived, we were told that the restaurant was not accepting card payments that evening. We were asked to withdraw cash from an ATM across the road — which came with a €4 fee. We were told this fee would be deducted from our bill later, which was at least something, though far from ideal.
After being seated, we waited a long time before anyone came to take our drink or food order. Meanwhile, several sick-looking stray cats were freely roaming through the restaurant, which is completely open to the sea view. As beautiful as the location is, the open layout makes it extremely vulnerable to animals wandering in from the beach and rooftops.
At one point, three cats were walking along the rooftop of the neighbouring building and jumping into the restaurant, directly near our table. This made me feel extremely unsafe and uncomfortable, and we decided to move to another table for our own peace of mind.
Unfortunately, during this move — without realising — we dropped €60 in cash under the original table (table 9). We only noticed this afterwards, but the money was gone. It was heartbreaking.
Even more frustrating, after waiting more than one hour, no food had arrived. When we asked for an update, the staff could not even confirm whether our order had made it to the kitchen. No communication, no apology, no explanation.
In the end, we paid for the drinks we had received and decided to leave — without eating anything, out of pocket by €60, and deeply disappointed.
This experience was not just poor service. It was a serious lack of hygiene, safety, and basic customer care. I genuinely hope someone from the management team takes responsibility, gets in touch, and refunds the €60 we lost due to this chaotic and unsafe environment.
This place could be a gem, but right now, it is failing on the most important points: cleanliness, organisation, and respect for...
Read moreReturned after dining here last year as remembered it was nice.. it was nice last year but this year was a total disaster! Firstly the staff were very good I may add. The table we were given was right next to the speakers and so loud we couldn’t hear each other speak so gave up trying. We ordered and the food was brought out very quickly, my husband ordered med rare fillet but it was med well done, but he’s not one to complain so carried on eating it. My prawns were frozen on the tail end where she’ll still in tact and so over dry on the fleshy part that I didn’t want to eat them after taking one bite, I politely returned my plate and reordered the seabass The plate came out when my husband had nearly finished his meal, the fillets were laid on a bed of cooked (but obviously frozen not fresh) vegetables. The fish was supposed to be grilled but was definitely pan fried and swimming (excuse pun!) in oil. I picked at the fish and could feel the grease on my lips 🤢 the veg was left as too, was swimming in grease as the fillets were laid on top when served. The pot of garlic potatoe wedges were also so greased I tried only a couple on the top. Then the saxophonist started to play along to the already loud music asking everyone to “c’mon clap along!” As people were trying to eat! A very loud and unpleasant experience that would have been great if we were in a bar just having drinks. The staff went above and beyond to please us, discounting our bill and offering free drinks or desserts or both (we declined, just wanted to leave) we were also given a 20% discount for our return to have another meal. We accepted graciously but even though we are here another week, we shall not be returning as i still have the nasty oily taste in my mouth as I write this thinking about how bad my meal was, so no thank you. The setting of this restaurant is what’s their usp but the food and ambience needs a...
