I was pleasantly surprised by the number of Indian restaurants in Tenerife. All with their unique microcosm of dishes and decor. This one that we found was particularly interesting. We ordered their, dry Manchurian, soya chaap/tikka and lassi for starters - both pretty good! The dry Manchurian could have been better. A little too spicy. For main course, we ordered bhindi, malai kofta and plain paranthas. The best thing for me was how simple and homely the paranthas were! You almost never get them at restaurants who prefer to serve naans and other tandoori breads. The bhindi and malai kofta were really nice too! Although, I recommend going easy on the spice level, I slightly regretted saying medium spicy! We were served by a warm and enthusiastic Hyderabadi man who convinced us to pack a box of soya butter briyani. And we did! And it was SO good. Highly recommend their biryani, bhindi and parantha.

We chose to eat here for our last meal on holiday after it was recommended to us. Where do I start?! WOW! this hidden gem is an absolute beauty of a restaurant. Unless you know it’s here, you probably wouldn’t walk past it, as it’s underneath the main walkway behind the shops. The staff were fantastic, and so accommodating. They allowed us to have our booked table half an hour early, and treated us with some of the best customer service I’ve ever received. The food was outstanding. Great portion sizes, tender meat, full of flavour and the decor of the restaurant felt very traditional. We ordered a number of starters, two breads, two main currys, two rices, popadoms and 5 drinks. Came to roughly £65 and we left a generous tip as well as thanking the chef on the way out. This restaurant does get busy so I advise booking! Definitely our first stop when we come back!

Always a little bit sceptical about trying out "vegan friendly" places However, the reviews this place has speak for themselves Dined there this evening, the server/manager, recognised I was looking at the vegan section and immediately noticed this. Made note of everything ordered and specified it as vegan. Soy "meat" (lamb) dopiaza Vegetable Tikka Masala Bombay potatoes Tandoori garlic naan Garlic rice Plus only €3 for a pint of San Miguel Absolutely delicious food, served fresh and hot and reasonably fast Toilet facilities were also impeccably clean We may well visit again during our 1 week stay, but if not it is already on the cards for next year Thank you

A Stellar Culinary Experience for Business and Beyond at Torviscas Spice Village! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars - Exceeded All Expectations! As administrators of a prominent local Facebook group ("I Love Tenerife Official"), we are constantly researching and vetting businesses to recommend to our thousands of members. Torviscas Spice Village consistently hit a top goal in our online research, making it a clear choice for a recent business meal to personally experience and verify its quality. I'm delighted to report that it exceeded all our expectations! From the moment our admin team arrived, the service was truly second to none. We were warmly greeted by Sam, the owner, and his outstanding team, whose professionalism and genuine hospitality made us feel incredibly welcome throughout the evening. The restaurant itself boasts a beautifully decorated interior and is ideally situated, creating an inviting and perfect ambiance for both a business discussion and a relaxing meal. We began our culinary journey with a delightful onion bhaji accompanied by poppadoms and a pickle tray. The onion bhaji offered a unique and authentic preparation that truly set it apart. For our main courses, we savored a Jalfrezi cooked to absolute perfection, alongside a fantastic chef's special featuring succulent lamb, medium spiced and bursting with rich, deep flavors. My team members particularly appreciated the waiter's excellent recommendation for their dishes – a testament to the team's knowledge and attentiveness. The accompaniments were equally impressive: the mushroom rice was incredibly flavourful, each grain perfectly infused, and the naan bread was warm, soft, and the ideal companion to complement every last drop of the exquisite curries. We also enjoyed a selection of delicious cocktails that perfectly rounded off our meal. The entire experience, from the extensive menu brimming with mouth-watering choices to the impeccable service and perfect ambiance, was flawless. Torviscas Spice Village isn't just a restaurant; it's a testament to authentic flavors, exceptional service, and a truly memorable dining experience. We highly recommend it to both locals and visitors alike. Sam and his team have created a truly remarkable establishment that we will be confidently recommending to our community. Thank you for an...

Genuinely appalled by the way we were treated. We made a reservation for 19:30 and had to wait over an hour for our food. We were also informed that our starter would be brought out at the same time as our main meal. The food we had was OK but not mind blowing, but the service was poor. The wait staff were literally running through the restaurant with food and drinks. We received an apology for the delay with our food only when the bill was brought to us. As we were finishing our drinks, I took my children to the bathroom and whilst I was away from the table, a waiter approached my husband and effectively pushed him to leave the table. The acoustics within the restaurant (which can't be helped I know) were shocking, We felt like we were a part of everyone's dinner conversation so I would suggest avoiding if you or a family member struggle with Auditory issues as I do. For a much better service and food, I'd recommend heading to Ganges Restaurant.

Editing to respond to the restaurant owners comments.

You are perfectly entitled to your opinion, as am I. Your waiter when taking our order was more interested in what was going on around the rest of the room than looking at us which in terms of professionalism, looking at patrons when they order is the bare minimum. Busy is great but an argument can be made for the lack of safety in having staff members running around with hot food and glass. As for my recommendation to visit an alternate restaurant, that still stands. I have always been fair when providing my reviews which I believe I have been fairer than I could have been had I chosen to write my review in anger. An anger which stems primarily from having my husband accosted and encorauged to leave our table. I decided to review my experience of which I am justly entitled to do and while you may not recognise this from your own perspective, this is a review based on how I feel about our time at your restaurant. Attempting to belittle that experience, says more about you than...

I was looking for indian food but got the worst food, worst service ...owner doesn't know how to cater people.. worst restaurant of my life...believe me i would prefer eating plain bread instead of going here...

Updates: I feel it's important to provide my feedback to the reply. We did enter your restaurant with the outside bottle(with only 2 sips remaining), and once you highlighted it we were ready to take the drinks outside, to which you only agreed to let us sit.this should settle your claim regarding the outside drink. Your attitude was bad since the beginning. Coming to the food.it took more than an hour for you to bring just soup and chicken starter.the chicken that was served was not at all fresh.your soup was not at all good. upon telling you the same, your behavior was similar to your food. We didn't even touch rest of the food after witnessing your attitude, paid in full and left.your claim that we misbehaved just because we highlighted that the food is not fresh clearly tells everyone how good you are with constructive feedback. As a restaurant owner(if you are), you should learn to treat and respect your customers well.your reply below gives a clear indication of the hospitality you are capable of providing . We were in tenerife for 5 days and had food in the restaurants below, which were far far better than yours, and you might wanna take this as constructive feedback. 1.Mirchi : a must try and home like feel, we went here more than 5 times. Best food and awesome service.chicken and mutton dishes are must try 2.street cafe: awesome croissants, breads, and sandwiches. 2.Mr Singh: The food and hospitality...
