The best meal we had during our stay, large quantity and very tasty everything, beautiful setting, gorgeous views especially if you seated on the right side. The only negative I have, unfortunately it’s important enough that we might think twice about returning again, that they give 1 and a half hour to dine as they needed the table at 8pm however we were a large group (6 of us) with two babies and it takes time for me to feed them too plus nappy change, I took the kids one by one to change at quoter to 8 but while I was in the toilet my family was already asked to leave the table as the next booking was there. I think this is wrong on many levels, I understand the restaurant wants to make as much as money possible but our bill was pretty large I’d say plus if we didn’t have to leave we probably would have ordered desserts too. So this is more like a constructive feedback to think about to maybe increasing the allocated time, or at least leave 15-20 minutes in between booking so we’re not kicked out the door because the next booking is there. Especially when it’s a big group with kids. If it was just two adults obviously that could be different as they don’t have nothing else to do but eat and drink. Apart from this as I said really great food and kind, smiling waiter staff but I hope the management team can consider adjusting booking times.

I will try to answer the question: is Amalfi’s experience worth the price tag? The view from the restaurant is absolutely beautiful and stunning. I think that’s the best part of Amalfi. Service is not bad, the only issue was our initial waiting for drinks/order for more than 10 minutes. Drinks were also good. Appetizers (mussels and focaccia) were very good. Now the cons: The mains were mediocre - we ordered sea bass and salmon and both were drowned in sauces. Such a crime against a good fish! Sides were also chewy and not great. Deserts were very poor. Meringue was way below expectations. Flavorless, tasted old. Now the worst part - price tag. We paid 130€ (with the tip). That’s definitely overpriced - you can get a comparable / even most tasty food and pay 50-70€ in nearby restaurants. I think Amalfi is a little “wanna-be” fancy restaurant, but it lacks the food & service to be considered as such. So is it worth it? In my humble opinion “no”.

We where recommended by a friend to try Amalfi Booked in for 6.30pm On arrival the first thing we where told is you must leave by 8pm We where seated and we ordered a bottle of wine to enjoy whilst checking the menu in that ten minute period we where asked to order twice Our starters arrived which where nice and I asked for a 15 minute rest before the main it was 7pm ( the couple next to us who arrived same time had already been served starter and main was on the table ) During the 15 minutes we where approached twice by different waiters to ask if we where ready ? The main I had lamb shank which was very nice all done by 7.50 phew good job as the staff where hovering for us to pay bill To conclude a very busy restaurant yes but to rushed made us feel uncomfortable

I dined at this restaurant in April 2024 and again in June 2025. On our first visit, everything—from the food to the atmosphere—was absolutely fantastic. It's the perfect spot for a date night or a special evening out. The highlight for us was the tagliatelle with pepper steak; the ingredients tasted top-notch, and the steak in particular was exceptional—clearly a high-quality cut, sliced and served beautifully in the dish.

When we returned in 2025, we were excited to order the same dish again. While it was still tasty, we noticed a drop in the quality of the steak. This time, it felt more like pre-cut stir-fry beef strips rather than the freshly sliced steak we had the year before. It was a bit of a letdown, especially since the original version had left such a strong impression.

That said, the overall experience was still very enjoyable. The staff here are truly excellent—they're warm, attentive, and really help create the welcoming atmosphere that makes the place so memorable. They tie everything together and elevate the experience beyond just the food.

Many of the dishes also feel like great value for money, both in terms of portion size and quality, and they fit perfectly with the relaxed yet refined vibe of the restaurant. Despite the slight dip in one dish, we still consider this a fantastic place to dine and would...

Tried to book a table today for through the week for my Wife’s birthday with the young girl on the front desk. Booked a time and was told we had to be finished in an hour and 15 mins. I reluctantly agreed and asked to order some champagne as it was my wife’s birthday. A wine list was thrust at me, I eventually found the right page and ordered some nice champers for the table. I was told I will need to ring a number to get the champagne and a card was given to me. I asked why the young lady couldn’t just order it herself and I was informed “I’m not working when your booking is” I asked again could she not leave a note for example for whoever is working then? I was told in an exasperated tone, No. I suddenly realised I was working far too hard to book a table and buy expensive champagne. I then said fine, cancel the booking altogether. I’ll find somewhere else. First time I have ever left a review for somewhere I never actually got to eat in. What a bizarre service?

In response to the restaurants comments I have told you in the review what...
