I have no idea how anyone has rated this restaurant above one star, unless there are new owners as of February and the place went downhill. 5 of us went to Martini's for dinner and drinks on February 17th. The drinks were mediocre, live music was somewhat pre-recorded but okay. The food was horrible and the staff will absolutely scam you by charging more for your meal items than what is advertised on the menu (both printed / handed to you and published on a large sign as you walk in). All 5 of us were overcharged and when we confronted the manager about it, she did not apologize but seemed more flustered at being busted. Back to the food - one friend ordered spaghetti pomodoro - it was 100% Chef Boyardee from a can (or spaghetti noodles floating in tomato soup, we weren't sure). Another friend ordered risotto - it was basmati rice with some sauce. A third friend ordered shrimp diavolo (over 20 euros for the plate) and received 6 shrimp in the same tomato soup the other friend received - no pasta, just the shrimp. All in all, giant waste of...
Read moreThis place is somewhat very strange. They have very loud music and give the feeling that there is a nightclub or some excitement but when you get there it's mostly empty and not much going on. At one night in April we stopped by and gave it a try after walking past it many times, but I felt like I landed in a scam where they were overly pressuring on getting us in, getting us to stay and buy drinks. While I will not say it's an actual scam as I didn't pay much for the drinks then this is a vibe that doesn't suit me and obviously not many others as it's quite empty most of the time.
The disconnect between the outward appearance and the actual atmosphere, coupled with the overly pressuring tactics employed by the staff, have a very repellant force on my and I avoid it in the future. Ultimately, it's important for each individual to assess whether Martini 2 Fanabe aligns with their own preferences and...
Read moreDelicious food for very cheap. The man who stands outside to try to get you to eat there is very funny. A lot of times he gives people, before going inside, a card for 20% discount. The waiters are very funny too. Most waiters and the man who stands outside speak English very well and also speak some Dutch and other languages, which is very nice and funny. The live music is great. The man plays guitar and sings songs very well. He can also sing Dutch songs. It's possible to request songs.
Overall very great restaurant. We ate there 2 times during our holiday....
