Restaurante Hawai — Restaurant in Adeje

Experience at this restaurant was terrible, between the horrible atmosphere and the ridiculous service.

Firstly the woman at the front claimed that the restaurant offered food and cocktails that were nowhere to be seen on the menu which was why we had gone in to begin with, so this was of course a big disappointment.

We then waited 20 minutes for a drink order plus another 20 minutes was wasted with another 3 waiters then taking the same order however the drinks never appeared (and we had not been asked for a food order at any time despite requesting this each time a waiter passed by).

We had also noticed the waiters twice asking 2 separate groups in the restaurant to lower their voices despite them not causing ourselves or any of the customers an inconvenience in any way; this was before we were also asked to rudely quieten down as we were speaking to a group of people we had met before at another table.

Having at this point decided not to stay any longer we as a courtesy explained that we no longer wanted the drinks but would still pay if they had been made (which of course they had not been). The waiters started shouting at us that we had wasted their time then forcefully removed myself and my partner from our seats and the restaurant, physically pushing us out of the establishment in front of plenty of other customers which caused both them and us a great deal of embarrassment and anger.

I called the next day to complain about the poor service shown however the man on the phone claimed that we had deserved to be removed as we were causing a disturbance and had eaten without paying which was total nonsense. He hung up after cursing at me when I tried to explain we had not even had our order taken.

Would never recommend this place to anyone as it appears customer service and common decency are not things this restaurant seem to possess, nor does actually taking an order seem to be something they can do without 4...

Thought I'd write the review as soon as we'd returned back to our hotel room as we might not see the morning after what we were served at this place! After waiting for over an hour for the food to arrive and witnessed others complain and leave our expectations lowered considerably, should have lowered it even further to be honest. Vegetarian lasagne consisted of 3 square pieces of pasta sheets with tomato sauce over one side and a cheese sauce over the other, something green in colour lived underneath the top layer of pasta sheet, yet to be identified. The other half physically gagged as she bravely took a taste and quickly spat it out. Fillet steak stroganoff arrived by the most aggressive and rude waitress ever seen. Shouting "STROGANOFF " in the middle of the restaurant I politely asked fillet steak stroganoff to which she replied "YOU EVER SEEN A CHICKEN STROGANOFF " This was accompanied by 11 chips ( I Counted!) And an egg cup of boiled rice, sauce was nice enough but the meat wasn't fillet steak, I'm still chewing as I'm writing this review! We paid the bill and refused to pay for the uneaten lasagne, the family on the next table politely asked for the bill after just having drinks and the bread rolls which are forced upon you at €2 euro each after witnessing what we were served. Another family with young children asked for the bill as their food was being served as the kids were falling asleep af the table after waiting so long. I don’t usually leave a review however this restaurant deserves it. This is a good value for money restaurant that serves very good / tasty food however the ambience and team energy simply make it one of the nicest dining experiences I have had. Daniel is what I can only describe as a credit to the hospitality industry - a true gentleman and knows his profession inside out. A lovely Asian guy and a lovely Canarian lady also attended our table. The food is a good 8 out of 10 however the service and ambience are an 11 out of 10 giving this lovely establishment a solid 10 out of 10 overall. The owner / manager should be so proud of the team representing their name / brand and the team delivering such excellent levels of service should give themselves a pat on the back.
