AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Look at the amount of oil in photo!! Overall a bad experience. Out of 9 meals, 1 was good, (the ribs) 3 average, 2 meals absolutely terrible, 3 pizzas that were worse then frozen pizzas. The Fajitas were a joke! €12.50 for gristle swimming in oil see picture. The pork fillet was as thin as bacon and was so tough. 3 others tried it as the person left it, 2 spat it out. It had an iron taste, so was probably past its best. I waited for the waiter to ask how things were, he never did. A lot of food was left, and it was not because of the portion size. To save embarrassing the waiter I went to speak to him quietly. He did not want to listen. I told him what meals were good. As soon as I said a few meals were not OK, he walked away. Then our table was suddenly cleared. And the bill was given. When I went to speak again, he said too much had been eaten so we had to pay. "My boss said you eat, so you pay" I have never not paid a bill, but I have worked in restaurants in the UK when people complain and refuse to pay the bill. And usually they are just being funny. I tried to treat the gentleman with respect, unfortunately he did not want to extend the same courtesy to me. He had zero concern for the experience of his customers. Its very unfortunate as this used to be a great place to visit. The Current owners are a disgrace. I can not emphasise enough do not visit. Not worth the hassle, service is slow, not attentive at all. Only one person had a drink. They just don't care. They are in the wrong business, the food is bad, and they are bad with people. We left and went mcdonalds and all had food. I think that says it all

T bone steak to die for. Very nice friendly staff too. 3 years later I'm going to have to tweak my review. I've just read Harry Devonport's review totally downtreading the waiter which is pictured here. All I can think is the customer mentioned was acting out of line. Although I can't remember this waiters name (I memorised it at the time as he was the perfect gentlemen with me and my wife, he KNEW OUR NAME when we revisited numerous times, and led us to the same table we enjoyed previously). He would sit us down and basically say "Large beer and a Rosado for Susan? and would Mark like his 18oz steak?". It was almost as though he was fathering us, it was great :D Out of a 2 month holiday in Fuerte, we would eat here at least 15 times, there's good reason for that. Ok, another update....some ppl have posted about really shoddy service and/or poor food here. This is how it works when you're eating in any restaurant. If you don't like it, don't eat it. Pay for what you've consumed and leave. Simple. I've done this in a few places, I've just go to the counter, put 10 euro's down for the drinks and said "forget it" and walked out.

My friend and I were staying at the Cay beach Caletta and our room literally backed onto this restaurant so we did not have far to go. Don’t be put off by the exterior which looks a little uncared-for because the inside has a really lovely atmosphere and vibe. We had the option to sit wherever we wanted and it’s the first restaurant during our weeks stay that had linen on the table which is always a bonus. I opted for a house red wine and it was nice for a change to have a full glass given. I opted for a medium sirloin steak and I love having a blue cheese sauce so the waiter asked the chef if he would do one as it was not on the menu and he prepared a Roquefort cheese sauce which is the one I love. The steak was huge and very tasty it came with chips and a mixture of Mediterranean vegetables. Very enjoyable meal and very reasonably priced just over €50 for 2 glasses of red wine 2 pints of tropical lager and 2 steaks with accompanying vegetables and chips and jacket potato.

We ate here last night which was our first night in the area. We had walked a lot during the day and as this was closest to our apartment we decided to try it. My husband fancied a steak and although I can't eat beef as it makes me very ill, I thought there are plenty of options on the menu for me to find something. Our first observation was that the menus were very sticky and my knife wasn't very clean but we decided to overlook this and give the place a chance. We ordered garlic prawns to share for starter, the waitress asked would we like bread, we said yes. For mains we asked for a steak cooked medium rare, with chips and veg for my husband and pork chops with apple sauce and a baked potato and veg for myself. We also asked for a bottle of water and a jug of champagne sangria to share. We received the garlic prawns, bread, sangria and water. The garlic prawns were delicious with lots of sliced garlic, the bread was lovely and warm and although the dip which came with the bread was tastless we enjoyed our starter and were looking forward to our mains. The champagne sangria wasn't the best we ever tasted but it was passable. The mains arrived! We noticed no salt and pepper on the table and asked the waiter for some and replacement cutlery as the previous ones had been cleared away. He returned with cutlery and no salt/pepper. I asked for them again, he returned with black pepper sauce, I hadn't asked for that. I fetched some salt and pepper from another table. We were distracted a bit at this point and both cut into our meat and ate some only to discover his steak was on my plate with my baked potato and my pork chops were on his plate with his chips. My husband tried to get the waiters attention but couldn't so we swapped our meat. I love a pork chop normally but this wasn't great. The meat was tough and over cooked. I ate one chop and the second one was too tough to cut. I didn't like the vegetables, and I normally love vegetables but these were tastless. The baked potato was the best thing on the plate and because aI was hungry I ate it all. There was no apple sauce on either plate. My husband was so disappointed with his steak. It was way over cooked and tough. He didn't finish it although he was very hungry. Two tables down from us a man had received a steak, he had called the waitress to point out something was wrong with it. He was speaking quietly but what brought it to our attention was the raised voice of the waitress. I'm not sure if she apologised for his experience but what drew our attention was that we could hear her asking what he would like instead. Moments later we noticed the waitress dramatically returning to this gentleman with a menu for him to make another selection. We were fed up at this stage and just wanted to leave. Some people around us seemed to be content with their food. We asked for our bill and waited.....after some time I visited the bathroom which was in need of repair but this I would overlook if the food is good. When I returned our bill still hadn't arrived.at least 20 mins had passed since asking. I walked over to the waitress to request the bill which she brought and then disappeared. I had been going to mention our issues but it was like the staff wanted to avoid interaction beyond dropping something quickly on your table and fleeing. We brought our payment to the bartender who thanked us but never looked up. My husband gave a tip because he spent 20 years working in the industry and always thinks of the staff. I normally agree but on this occasion I did not. There are a lot of inconsistencies here which need to be resolved. As I reflect today I think we should have walked out. We will not be back and look forward to a better experience elsewhere...

This is the worst restaurant I have been to in the Canaries. The whole place has around 40-ish tables and only 3 or 4 servers were on the floor to cover the tables. I can't comment on the main course, because we didn't get any, but the service was atrocious. The behaviour of the waiters was outrageous. Our group of 6 (4 adults 2 kids) arrived around 19:45 and had to wait to be seated (which is ok). 10-15 min later the waiter took our drink order. 30-40 minutes after ordering the drinks we finally got them except 1 juice. We had to ask 5 or 6 times (asked every server and bar staff) to finally get it another 20 minutes later. We ordered our food at 20:10. The waiter asked if we wanted bread with our starter, He said we can ask more, because they can bring it out fast. Meanwhile many people have been waiting to be seated. Some of them were with little kids and standing there for 20 minutes, to get a table. (There were many tables available, but nobody greeted them at the entrance.) We got our starter after 40 minutes, 1 cheese platter share size (12 thumb sized cheese slices with 6 walnut pieces and 2 halved cherry tomatoes and a drizzle of honey for €19) and 1 garlic prawns. We asked for 2 pieces of bread which was 2 midi baguettes. Asked for more bread while waiting. Another 20+ minutes later the bread and chicken nuggets with fries arrived. Asked for 2 more beers, it took them a lot of time to arrive again. Every time we asked about our missing order, they said " oh you are missing it?"and looked annoyed. At 21:45 there was still no food, so we got fed up, paid what we consumed and left. ( Other tables who arrived after us were served before us). The waiter was extremely surprised and annoyed about us leaving, he said our food was ready in 1 min, but after waiting 95 minutes and not getting the main course we didn't believe him. The kids were hungry, tired and very upset. He said they had a few "large" tables to serve, that's why our order wasn't ready. He said he has to serve food to a table before taking our payment, but didn't serve anything just complained to his colleague in Spanish before coming back. He said all the other restaurants were closed, so we won't get any food, but we didn't care and left. They double charged the juice we repeatedly asked for, but we didn't pay until it was corrected. We ended up having take away pizza from another place and it was very very good. €72 for drinks, 2 starters and a kid meal... Toilets are broken and don't have...
