We booked to eat here last night, 4 adults 2 children. The reservation was made 3 days previous. We turned up and explained we had a reservation and was seated by one waiter, another waiter then brought over the menus for us to look at, after 5 min a 3rd waiter came over and asked for our name in which the reservation had been booked, once confirmed we where then asked to move tables as this one wasn't ours (the other table was rights next to the children's vending machine which sold bouncy balls etc-what are the chances) a little inconvenient but we agreed to move. We settled in at our table and drinks etc where ordered. We then had our food orders taken, and just as you would anywhere we asked for the advice of the waiter on food, I've been to Indian resteratunts before and they've recommended one rice to share and sharing nan bread would be best option etc, but not here, he explained you would all need rice and nan breads if that's what you wanted as they wouldn't be enough to share. Curries came out and looked very tasty but then followed the huge bowls of rice and breads, to which you could instantly see where going to be to much for 1 person. Food was ok, but I've honestly had much better, the garlic nan had big chunks of garlic in it which I though was a bit to much for me and wasn't what I would normally expect. Overall it was ok but I felt the staff wasn't there to help with food choices, only there to make as much money as possible and that was quite obvious when we still had a table full of food at the end...
Read moreWe really like Delhi Delights and visit the Los Cristianos restaurant regularly when here. We decided to visit its larger sister restaurant in Los Americas this time to give that a try. Walked straight in to a table ready around 8.00pm on a Sunday evening. We were given menus immediately and left to peruse. The menu is nearly identical to the Los Cristianos restaurant which was good. It then took 20 minutes and me having to ask 3 times for someone to come over and take our drinks and food order. The drinks arrived quickly and the starters about 10 minutes later. Table was cleared in good time and mains offered and followed. Food was hot, good quality and good portion sizes, but in my opinion it isnt as good/tasty as the Los Cristianos restaurant, it was slightly more on the bland side for Indian food. The table was cleared in ok time and the bill brought over when requested. It took a further 10-15 minutes for someone to return and collect the bill so we could get the change and leave a tip. I feel like the size and quantity of tables/heads they serve in one sitting negatively impacts the service here. In the future we will go to the smaller Los Cristianos restaurant as the service is outstanding there and the quality of the food is consistently high. Not a bad experience by any stretch, just...
Read moreVery bad experience in here. Ordered food for 15 people including Children. We ordered food & requested no nuts as my husband has a nut allergy. Firstly the starters were awful. Chicken pakora was more like twiglet crisps, chicken not fresh. Popadoms were onions without sauce. Complained & manager offered 10% discount even though we didn’t eat the starters. once the mains arrived there was nuts throughout all the curries we ordered including platters. My husband couldn’t eat anything as they stated there definitely was no nuts in the food even though we pulled out nuts from all the dishes. When complaining the staff got very heated with our family & the staff shouted we were travellers. All the staff arrived aggressively even when my children were there. We asked to reduce our bill as we no longer could stay & the manager refused. We agreed to call the police with a £390. Euros bill. The police advised to pay the bill then reclaim through the Spanish consumer complaints which is extremely difficult to navigate & speak with anyone English. Therefor i recommended anyone with any love for Indian food, or have a nut allergy to stay well clear of this restaurant. We left all of our food that we were...
