I’ve got to tell you, I’m giving 5 stars because of the great surprise I had coming here.
When I’m at La Illa, I usually go to the left side on autopilot, because I always find a seat at Udon. But this time I wandered to the right side, and when I spotted a Mexican restaurant, I was seated there in a second.
The menu options were varied and didn’t scream “fusion” too loudly. I was quickly and very pleasantly intoxicated by their frozen margarita — it was absolutely delicious. As for the shiitake tacos, I expected them to be dry, but I had to eat my words because they were the complete opposite: tender, flavorful, and amazing. The fajita dish with vegetables and chicken was also packed with flavor.
I was truly surprised, because the entire experience was as enjoyable as the food itself. Read moreAs someone who grew up in a Mexican household, it is safe to say that Ándele is always a good choice for taco lovers or people who are being introduced to Mexican food, as it's great for groups and families. Today I had the tacos campechanos & three frozen margaritas. I'd been before and had had the taquiza, which comes with three different kinds of tacos, a quesadilla, rice, beans, totopos, guac and pico de gallo. It was really good. Both the agua fresca de jamaica and frozen margarita are absolutely delicious. The staff are very attentive and efficient. Today, we had such an amazing waiter called Gaston. He gave the type of service one would expect in the US, being super attentive, friendly, happy to talk to and get to know his customers. Really, his effort and attitude were an absolute delight, for which we'll be...
Read moreWhat a great meal!!!! It was a rainy weekend in Barcelona and the whole place was packed. We were lucky to get a table and had no idea what to expect. We were attended to quickly and told it was super busy and that the meal would maybe be a bit slow being served…not true…the ceviche came out very quick and was delicious. Fresh, crispy and a great taste. The avocado and shrimp dish was fresh and super tasty. Main course was the 3 “guisos” that we shared and they were all spectacular. 3 different tastes, all wonderful. The only disappointment was that I was too full to order dessert. I will be back to try them. Highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for...
