45/33 Bar — Restaurant in Barcelona

Worst bar experience in the past 6 years of going out in Barcelona - BEACUSE OF WHICH I WILL TAKE THE TIME TO WRITE THIS REVIEW.

WHAT HAPPENED? Yesterday at about 10PM We (group of 8 people) went to this place to have some drinks after the staff in the main 45/33 politely told us they have space for us in this NEW 44/33. All students and myself, their manager. We were, NOT DRUNK, NOT UNPOLITE, NOT OBNOXIOUS. Just wanted TO SIT DOWN have a goodbye get together.

We entered the place and were looking for a place to sit when the MEAN bartender girl (referred to in this text as "CRUELLA") came to us QUARRELING that the place where we wanted to sit was reserved (there was no indication that it was reserved). She made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcomed, as if we were INVADING the place (I underline, no one was even sitted, we were all standing). She acted as If she owned the place and we were not welcomed there, just because. (and btw, the place was 70% empty).

We sit down.

The ambient was the same as in a CO-WORKING. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO MUSIC, NOT EVEN BACKGROUND MUSIC. The lighting was NOT dimmed, it was bright white light (not a problem if the customer service would have been at least satisfactory). I went and asked CRUELLA if she could put on some background music. She was not happy about it.

WE STOOD UP AND LEFT without ordering anything and without any intention of ever returning BEACUSE OF CRUELLA'S CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I will drop here a description of CRUELLA, so the employer is aware what employee is not doing his job right. CRUELLA - lady in her 30-40's, with long black hair and tattoos.

For CRUELLA: you have no excuse for the the way you behaved, not even if you had your period. Don't work in hospitality if you do not like attending people and if you do not generally like people. Be professional and don't let your personal frustration out on the people because you are not paid for this, you are paid for attending the clients and making them feel welcome, so they return to the place. I feel sorry for whatever collegue has to work with you on the same shift. If you were my employee, I would fire you.

The place was great, only issue is that we had ordered beers on tap (estrella)and they were sour. We informed one of the waiters who tried one out of the 3 and apologised and told us to get new ones for free. Then the manager (Frederica) stepped in and refused to change all 3 beers and claimed the taste was because it was the end of the barrel. I informed her that cannot be possible and to please taste as it was the 3 beers, she refused, made another waiter try it (who also spit it out and said it was sour) was super angry and rude to me and gave attitude. She was super unpleasant but thankfully the other waiter gave us the new beers and apologised for the whole hassle. Really fun bar, there’s usually a queue outside to get in because it is just that good. Prices are fair and a good crowd comes around. We were with a group of about 6 and were lucky to get a table. The food is actually nice too. We had nachos and fries. There were a lot of people standing even with the number of people controlled. The bartenders are attentive and get the job done well. The drinks are pretty strong as well. The interior decor is vibey with plants, neon lights, old TVs etc. the bathroom did smell very strongly of pee and was not clean at...
