Very lively place with a self serve buffet (including things such as large grilled shrimp!) for everything except meat which gets brought by waiters to the table fresh from the grill and is all you can eat. They had I believe 7 different types of meat to try that day, one chicken two pork and 4 different cuts of beef. Juli was super nice and accommodating and even managed to figure out how we could get some more food to go for the people in our group who couldn't make it to this specific restaurant. The restaurant is quite close to the Sagrada Familia which is super convenient if you don't want to visit one of the fast foods next to the basilica and isn't even overpriced when you take that into account at all.
edit: We also got two free shots of local liqueur to try as digestiv too. And I would suggest if you don't speak Spanish actually do ask for Juli because his English was by far the best of the staff who were all very nice to us but most of the others didn't really speak English very well. I would also suggest reserving enough time for the experience - maybe two hours? - so you aren't in a rush like us and can enjoy it properly and have some drinks as well. Added some photos and a video I think it was someone's birthday or...
Read moreOne of my favourite places in Barcelona. I’ve been there four times now and I know I'll be back. As an Argentinian, meat is very important to me. Since I moved away, I hadn’t eaten this much meat on one sitting. Every Argentinian friend we brought there had the time of their lives. Meat is tender and perfectly cooked, and they are constantly walking by your table with new meat cuts. There's usually a bit of wait on the weekends and/or after 9PM, even if you booked a table, so my advice is to go there earlier than 9. But even if you can't avoid it, you can start eating as soon as you sit down, so it's worth the wait. Juli was really friendly and as well as all the other waiters, knows their stuff. My advice is that you ignore most of the buffet. Other foods there are not going to be on par with the meat, except for the empanadas, milanesas and whatever side you want for your meat. And don't forget to grab a tub of chimichurri while you're there to dip all your meat in! Honestly, if you’re looking to eat your own weight on meat, this is the...
Read moreMy wife and I came here for dinner on our second wedding anniversary! There’s nothing that says ‘te quiero’ better than unlimited beef! The interior of the restaurant struck me as quite classy and I got strong family vibes from the place. We were the first batch of people in so the presentation on the buffet was immaculate. I’ve been to many Brazilian style churrascarías back home in the States but never an Argentinian one. Still I’ve got to say that this buffet gives a lot of the ones back home a run for their money. The service was friendly- Abdel seated us and was a very friendly host. Everyone spoke to me in Spanish when I spoke Spanish and we’re graceful to speak English when my Spanish reached its limits. The meat was great- a couple pieces a tad overdone but delicious still! Truly an unbeatable value! The sangria was amazing and the crema shots they brought us at the end sealed the deal. If you find yourself tired of paella and bravas at any point during your stay in Barcelona, definitely give Asado Libre a try! Oh and be sure to...
