Segues il ristorente in Calle Segues, Barcelona is a gem that is hidden away in a location not turistic but is very popular with the locals. It is not surprising. The artichoke tatin is a masterpiece of flavours with crispy fried bacon as adornment. Fettucine de obrador had green faba beans, Shitake mushrooms and goat cheese vying for your favours. Thin spaghettini tossed simply with dry red chilli, garlic and olive oil sets both your lips and heart on fire. Ravioli of magret of duck, caramelised apple and foie is outstanding. Do not miss their desserts - spectacular home made tiramisu, brownie and chocolate lava are the usual suspects that don't disappoint though the dessert list had many more enticing ones. No, it is not a pizzeria but the menu has many appetising dishes which are waiting to be tried in subsequent visits. Service is attentive and helpful. The tables are set a little too close for comfort but it appears that does not discourage the patrons from...

Overall, if we didn't have a 50% discount from El Tenedor I would have been very unhappy with the service and food. It isn't worth it.

Bad Service: We arrived around the time of opening with a reservation. No one was at the door to greet or seat us. We stood around for awhile and eventually walked further into the dining area to get someone's attention. Once seated we again had to wait a long time to order even a beverage or our food. They brought bread and breadsticks (which they charge you for) but no plates. I saw them bring plates to another table, however, so it all felt very inconsistent. Later they asked if we wanted more bread. We said yes and they brought 2 rolls but no breadsticks, and we were charged the same price for that.

Ravioli was the best: We ordered the Ravioli de foie, which was very delicious. They split the plate into 2 for us since we were sharing. We also got the Tagliata de Buey and Risotto a la Trufa. I didn't think these 2 plates were...

Hoy he reservado este restaurante con grandes expectativas, atraído por su supuesto enfoque en la gastronomía italiana y su llamativo descuento del 40% en la carta. Sin embargo, la experiencia fue una gran decepción en cuanto a la relación calidad-precio.

Lo único realmente destacable fue la atención del personal. Los camareros fueron amables, atentos y profesionales en todo momento, lo cual hizo que la velada fuera más agradable a pesar de lo que vendría después.

La comida, sin embargo, dejó mucho que desear. Los precios están claramente inflados para que el descuento parezca una gran oferta, pero la calidad de los platos no lo justifica en absoluto. Los ingredientes utilizados son de supermercado, sin rastro de productos auténticos o importados de Italia, y muchas preparaciones parecen recalentadas en lugar de recién hechas. Además, las salsas son industriales y no caseras, lo que le resta mucho sabor y autenticidad a los platos.

Otro gran problema es la falta de respeto por las recetas originales. Lo que sirven como cocina italiana son adaptaciones arbitrarias, sin ninguna fidelidad a los platos tradicionales. La ejecución es descuidada y el resultado, mediocre.

En resumen, este lugar se presenta como un restaurante italiano, pero lo único que realmente cumple es la buena atención del personal. La comida no está a la altura ni en calidad ni en autenticidad, y los precios no reflejan lo que realmente ofrecen. No lo recomendaría a quienes busquen una experiencia...
