Came here purely based on Google rating and I was extremely pleased! The interior was relatively small, but we were lucky to grab a table without reservation on Sunday morning, however when we were leaving the place was crowded. Even with many other people sitting around I felt very cozy and happy. The service was friendly, nice and relatively quick. Cappuccino and home made iced tea were delicious and the pulled beef tacos, with guacamole, roasted pineapple and coleslaw were off the hook! I have not had better food in Barcelona during my stay! Generally the food quality was great, a lot of vegetarian/vegan options and a lot of unusual items on the menu as well, therefore I was pleasantly surprised with the relatively low prices. Definitely an amazing place to spend Sunday morning! Menu English available either via QR code or on paper menu. Paid by card. Visited in December 2022.

I made it to Cafe Menssana on Saturday and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. They have a few vegan options, not the most creative but what I had the curried Chickpea burger was tasty, especially the bread. The yucca fries were an additional cost, I think it's standard in Barcelona, but I feel like chips/fries should be included for the price, it's also worth mentioning that the chipotle mayo isn't vegan 😲 I must say the burger was huge but fell apart at times so wasn't the easiest to eat. I'd probably add some onion and pickles for extra crunch and added flavour. I also shared a vegan cheesecake with my boyfriend which was heavenly. The ambience of the place is nice and chilled, furnished with natural furniture and hanging plants, they also have an outdoor seating area. I'll definitely be going back there and would like to try their other options.

We've been here twice during our holidays in BCN. First time was really good, went there on a Saturday afternoon, enjoyable atmosphere, we needed to wait a little bit for our food because there were a lot of guests, but the waitress spoke English with us - good service over all. I had the salmon sandwich, which was really yum and a tea with fresh ginger and peppermint - you couldn't do much wrong. Therefore we decided to go a second time on a Sunday to have dinner - I had the chicken tacos - unfortunately not only there was shredded chicken on it but also shredded bones. Therefore it was unenjoyable :( Waitress couldn't speak one word English. So we won't go there a third time.

Very disappointed, used to be my favourite burger place in Barcelona for the last 2 years because their Classic Burger with cheese was always perfectly medium grilled meat, delicious sauce and cheese and the right amount of pickles and onions in a delicious bun. And when I say favourite I mean that I have been ordering this burger here at least once a week, probably twice a week most weeks for the last 1.5 years, so I know what I am taking about. Yesterday I ordered again and the meat was a way overcooked and overdone cardboard-like burger meat that lacked salt, the meat patty was only half the size of the burger and not even the cheese was right- it tasted like fatty cheap cheese and I have been in stomach ache since yesterday evening. Your quality control should have never let that Burger go out like this, I cannot tell you how disappointed I am. And it has not been the first time something was off, but just the worst time, as usually the taste was still alright even if you sent me the burger patty a little too much burned or a little overcooked as can happen. Yes, the quality has always been a bit unstable depending on who was cooking on which day of the week (weekends was usually a bit better than weekdays unless you ordered really late or it was vacation season) but 90% it was a reliable and overall good Burger with great medium patty and a delicious sauce and bun with perfect condiments. Yes there have been issues with the airfried wedges since ever and the patatas airfried honestly are still different every single time. You must have different chefs because they are so different every time - airfried potatoes became a forced side to the Burger some time ago, you need to choose either potatoes airfried or Coleslaw and I had first tried the Coleslaw a couple of times because usually I like it but it is just so hard and way too crunchy and only tastes of mustard, it is just not good. Really not good. The patatas airfried started out disgustingly wet and overspiced, then they were too oily, now since some months they are better again, a bit dryer and sometimes even a bit crunchy but sometimes they just have paprika spice, other times they are full of oil and I think thyme mixture, so they are nothing to rely on. I also tried almost all of the rest of the menu, but nothing stood out except the spicy Gambas Tacos which are usually really good. Also the grilled salmon with salad, tzaziki and bread is great but if the skin isn't grilled right then it is very fatty which has been unpleasant on several occasions in the past. Once I ordered my usual classic cheeseburger and got the Chicken Burger instead by mistake so I ate it - was surprisingly good just a tad too spicy for my personal taste but it was delicious. Chicken Nuggets or stripes are really not recommended, way too dry and nothing crunchy. The only real new menu item in the last 1.5 years were the Beef Tacos and they are too sweet, I tried the bowls but the ingredients don't fit together in taste. Falafel are good but nothing special, and when my vegan friend came to visit me in Barcelona we tried their meetless options and they were also just not "round" in taste. By far the best things they have are the chocolate cheesecake and the Guiness Cake which are still delicious thankfully 🙏🙏 But even here are such great differences - on a Saturday evening you might be lucky and get the chocolate cheesecake garnished with some red berry coulis which just elevates the whole cake to a new level. I think this is how it should be because it used to be like this most of the last 1.5 years. Sadly, 9 out of 10 times now it is only plain chocolate cheesecake. Used to be my favourite restaurant and safe bet for good food but I won't eat or order...

We were at the nearby park and looking for somewhere nearby for food. I was looking for somewhere with vegan options for me and stumbled across cafe Menssana online. It was only 10 minutes walk from the park and when we arrived all the tables were reserved. One of the waitresses said we could have a table for an hour and 20 minutes, which was fine for us. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our son has autism and struggles with “different” food. He chose beef tacos but when they arrived they had coleslaw and guacamole on the top. He freaked out about it quietly but one lovely lady noticed and offered to change it for something else which was really kind. We declined the offer and eventually he ate most of it when we’d taken stuff off. The food and service in this place were really great. We got a sense that it is where the locals ate which made a nice change for us. A great find and highly recommend.. but book in advance if you can as...
