If you’re Asian, don’t come here. You will be disappointed. I came for lunch.
I went out of my way to go to this joint as it got good reviews. However my opinion now is that travellers/Europeans don’t know their Indian food. I don’t think the owners are Indian. Probably Pakistani. There was no depth of flavour to the lamb curry I ordered and the lamb chunks were tough, not soft. The sag paneer was good and tasted different to the Indian version I love and the cheese chunks need to be smaller. The rice was served almost cold, like it had been reheated in a microwave. The tea I ordered had salty water even though they told me it was filtered. My bill was too high for a 1 person meal. I had a curry, a vegetarian dish ( sag paneer), a rice and a tea. Almost 40 euros for lunch.
I suggest they have a 15 euros lunch menu ( menu del dia in Spain ) with less options so they can focus on improving their cooking skills. There were too many options on the menu and my feeling was that they could cook everything, but nothing well.
As a part Asian, searching for authenticity, this place left me disappointed. If you want authentic Indian food in Europe, I can honestly say, don’t eat it in Spain. England or Germany...
Read moreThe best curry I had in Barcelona in 5 years. We came here for diner and we found the atmosphere here amazing. Great cozy lighting what not all curry places here have. We started with papadums that were big not to thick what I think is perfect. It came with 4 condiments and included mint yoghurt. We ordered the Masala and the makhani chicken with pilau rice and a Perswani naan. It was al perfect. A great amount of perfectly cooked chicken, lovely sweet makhani and super flavoured rice ( trust me it’s exspecially nice). The naan was amazing too. Lots of sweet and covered in sesame seeds. The Verdejo wine was perfect to wash it al down with and hood priced. A special thanks to our waiter Hussain who helped us decide our dishes to our taste and who was spot on. He is a asset to this restaurant Ofcourse next to the person preparing the amazing dishes. Highly recommended place. We wil be...
Read moreFood was good, tasted nice, we had naan. A lamb dish and a chicken dish. And something with cheese, they were all tasty!
We both ate the same, But later on we ended up being nauseous, It started with a stomach ache and later on vomiting.
Im not trying to bad mouth the restaurant ive seen decent amount of reviews, but the fact we ended up vomiting after 30min of eating cant be coincidence. There must be a simple reason for that.
This means although the outside ambiance looks good and clean, looks can be deceiving. Im sure there is like a “e-coli infection” which means their hygiene isn’t great or lets say the best. But what you should expect as a customer is that we shouldn’t at-least get sick. This is the worse. I feel like they ain’t washing their hands properly. Or not wearing gloves. Or either the meat is not proper cooked or the meat is so old that the sauces are...
