Review for Casa del Mar

We had a brilliant experience at Casa del Mar, a cosy spot with a real focus on quality tapas. The menu is full of classic and inventive dishes, and everything we tried was fresh, well-seasoned, and nicely presented.

We were a group of eight, and the selection of tapas we ordered gave us a great balance of flavours. The pan con tomate and patatas bravas were perfect starters — simple, tasty, and just what you’d hope for. The tortilla de patatas was soft in the middle, just right.

Among the meat dishes, the croquetas de jamón were a favourite — crispy outside, creamy inside. The alitas de pollo barbacoa had great flavour, and the choricitos a la sidra were rich and comforting. The huevos estrellados con jamón ibérico disappeared quickly — definitely a crowd-pleaser.

The seafood stood out, especially the gambas al ajillo which were plump and full of garlicky goodness. We also enjoyed the calamares a la andaluza, mejillones al vapor, and the wok de gambas, which had a lovely depth of flavour.

For something different, we tried the dardos de berenjena with honey, soy, and goat cheese — a surprising mix that really worked. The espinacas with chickpeas and pancetta were earthy and satisfying, while the champiñones al ajillo added a lovely garlic punch to the mix.

Service was friendly and efficient, and the portions were well-suited for sharing. With 14 dishes shared between us, we left full and happy without breaking the bank.

Absolutely Wonderful Experience at Casa Del Mar! We had an amazing time dining at Casa Del Mar. The atmosphere is inviting, with a beautiful coastal-inspired decor that makes you feel instantly relaxed. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home.

Celebrating a birthday in Barcelona and decided to take a chance with Casa del Mar - and we were not disappointed!! Bari took great care of us! We ordered the grilled steak, grilled salmon and paella and each dish was fresh, cooked to perfection and the taste was devine. You can't go wrong with any celebration at Casa del Mar.
