CHEBU — Restaurant in Barcelona

I live in NYC, so maybe that’s why u was underimpressed. I think the pho is the only thing you should have here. Do not eat inside the decor is horrific. The staff are kind and pleasant. Maybe North Korea they don’t have Vietnamese sandwiches? He looked at me like he had never heard of such a thing. Banh Mi Is pretty famous as it’s one of the only bread dishes in an Asian nation. A lot of Chinese dishes on the menu. Spaniards aren’t too adventurous gastronomically, Catalans like to think of themselves as very sophisticated (perhaps they are as related to the rest of Spain) but are as provincial as any one else. The place had lots od young people of foreign extraction as the pho is great (big hot dish relatively cheap).The group of Spanish men not to us enjoyed la comida china de Vietnam 🙄. I did not have high expectations for the place. But the beef pho really blew me away. If you want to come here, you MUST order the pho, it tastes so much like the real thing! Being an asian myself, I was honestly enjoying the pho as it reminds me of my asian food back home. The chicken hotpot and the rice with spicy chicken were also good, although the chicken was a bit too sweet, I think it was still great overall. To top it all off, the owner was really nice and passed us extra plates and bowls that we needed before we even asked for them.

If you are thinking about where to eat, I would recommend here as there are free tables all the time and, help the small businesses stay afloat in such a tough period...

This is my favourite restaurant in this city.

Service is great, the cutest older man. Food is amazing, big portions and high value. Location is great, near Plaza Espanya.

When you look at it from the outside it doesn’t give it justice! Maybe it’s not too traditional vietnamita place but it is a great Asian restaurant.

I recommend the tacos de pollo con chilli sauce y la ternera con salsa de lima..
