On the first occasion of dining here, one server was very rude, another really polite, but the food was not very good. cannot recommend.
On the second occasion of attempting to dine here, me and a colleague walked into the restaurant to try and make a reservation because we could not make one over the phone. no one was at the host stand when we came in, so we rang the bell. no one answered so we rang a second time. the owner looked at us as if we were doing something out of the ordinary. if the bell is not to be rung, why have it there?
when the owner came by we discussed how we attempted to call to make a reservation but the phone number didn't work. his reply was "i don't answer my phone when i'm busy or if i don't feel like it" or something to that extent.
the owner was very rude on the second occasion. the food here is not very good, the service is not customer oriented, so avoid this place if you like good customer service and good food.
to the owner, yes, i have been - twice. i won't go again. your reply illustrates your lack of customer attention...
Read moreWe live in Poblenou and we decided to try this small restaurant which most reviews said we could find really trendy tapas. So we went there, without reservation, as they do not accept reservations. We tried some bravas (fried potatoes with spicy sauce) some traditional croquetes, a aubergine (eggplant) with rosemary and honey, and we were specially surprised with the aubergine flavors, so surprised that we tried it at home some weeks later. But the best was yet to come, the fried dogfish and the salmon tataki... pfff just amazing... The service was quite fast as it was late afternoon, just before dinner. The price for some "tapas" and 2 glasses of wine was correct as the quality served justifies the amount paid. One of the best option in Rambla...
Read moreVery good food and hard working staff. The menu and wine list are hand written boards which are very charming - they had great recommendations for a good bottle of wine. The octopus was our favorite, simply prepared, perfectly cooked, and served over a bed of crispy potatoes. The fried eggplant was excellent as well, we wished we'd pared it with the hummus! The sardines were high quality and paired well with the tomatoe bread. The tune tataki was beautifully plated and the cous cous salad on the side was delicious. We always love a fresh note amongst a long dinner of tapas! The braised beef was fine, but I thought the other dishes were more exciting. Overall a good meal and I hope to be back...
