Google really needs a .5 star rating option. This place is cute and in a good location. Tiny seating area inside but does have an outdoor sidewalk area like all Barcelona restaurants. The food is good, actually the skirt steak was very very good and came with a side frittes which surprised me as they are known for their empanadas. Their empanadas are good overall, not outstanding but good. The best part is the dough used is light, tasty, and cooked to perfection! The filling inside was great for the Carne and Naranja. The jamon y queso was too cheesy for me and I didn't think that was possible, I didn't finish it as it was just too much cheese. The Dino was average, had a kick of spice to it which was nice but average. The service was okay I had to engage a lot for what I needed such as a menu, water, chimichurri sauce, the check..you get it. I would give this place a 3.5 stars if I could, def not bad at all and has some good points and I'd go back but not a 4 or 5 in my opinion. Still needs a little more but seems to be a popular spot with the locals so...
Read moreIf you love Argentinian empanadas, then this is the place to go! The Monk empenada is to die for. It has rich osobucco flavors and a light, flaky crust. The Dino and Carne were also really delicious. I was not nuts about the Cebolla (a little too much mushy cheese and onion for my taste). My travel partner really enjoyed the Elba - but you have to like sausage, which I don't. We had a couple of veggie ones too (the Verde and the Cebolla). They were tasty but the meat ones were the best. We also enjoyed their goat cheese salad which includes fresh apple slices, a tangy complement to the salad and rich goat cheese. This salad is presented beautifully (see the picture). We rounded out our meal with a cold glass of white wine. Juan gives a great pour! It's a small place, but the service is terrific. Long-time employee, Juan, is charming and chatty, and provides great service. We thoroughly enjoyed our al fresco empenada luncheon, and will be sure to...
Read moresoooooo gooooood! the place is small and cozy, the staff is amazingly nice (not in a tourist way of nice, but in a "first time here and feeling as if i would have come here every day since 1986"-way). the food was delicious (had a steak, milanesa and an empanada). it was fast and very affordable. they even have a menu in english (usually a red flag for me, since i'm from a tourist area and know what it usually means) but it was not a typical tourist spot. loved it! next time in barcelona, ill be back. maybe even fly over here just for...
