It makes me uncomfortable to write this. Today was a good day, and I am not someone who leaves reviews. I am also very easy to please. But our experience was unfortunately bad. The good stuff first. The restaurant is really cute. Esthetically made me feel at home. Maybe that's why I was so surprised at how things went. Low lighting in a Mexican cabana clay house vibe and good music. There's not much on the menu, but I like that. I was to the point with plenty of things to try. We ordered the nachos, and my partner ordered the pineapple pastor burrito. I asked the waiter for his recommendation. I do like to big portions myself :) He recommended the beyond burger burrito. I recognized that beyond is not super exciting. I eat beyond all the time. But it sounded good and filling. I may have gone to over 1,000 Mexican restaurants in my life. Living in California and other places in the states. My family is spanish, just to clarify that I'm a BCN local. We waited close to 30 minutes... no nachos. Finally, what looked like it could be our food was sitting in the service window. After 5 minutes, still sitting in the service window. We were very hungry by now. You brought my partner her burrito and me the Mexican Burger, not the burrito that I had ordered. I didn't care about this point. I needed to eat. But also.. no nachos. After a few minutes, we ask the waiter what happened to the nachos. He didn't even acknowledge us, not even an answer. He went to the chef and placed an order for nachos. After just 2 minutes, we decided, "we should cancel if it's gunna to take this long," and when we did, the waiter rolled his eyes at us and let the chef know. I will just say that I know how demanding his job can be, I really do. But honestly, from the minute we sat down, he was so rude to us, and after that, he was extra rude. Not an excuse me, nothing. When we finished, he asked how it was. We nodded, "so so," he eluded to the idea that we weren't vegan and didn't like the food. We corrected him and told him that the service was less than to be expected and we have both been vegan for many years. He then started to blame other things. That there were only 2 waiters, it was busy, etc.. Again, I know how stressful the job can be, but to get our order wrong and then to blame.e us and it being somewhat busy was ridiculous. (Actually, not busy at all)
This place deserves better than this review. I want to give my money to small businesses. But it all begins and ends with the service. Now I understand people have bad days. But man, being a local and vegan, I would way rather not have to go through that again. And to the waiter, have some pride it what you do. It's okay to make mistakes but own up to them. Other people shouldn't have to pay for them....
Read moreHad the worst experience of my life here. The guy at the door is the rudest person I ever met, treated us (and all the other clients) with despise and when I complained about a problem it was a horror show, he managed to be even more arrogant. Vegan restaurants are known for its friendly staff and amazing food, and definitely this was not the experience I had here. The food was good though, but I would never come back because of the horrible service.
In response: there was men’s hair in my glass and before even touching it I informed the guy who promptly rolled his eyes. I asked for water instead and in the end of the meal he charged us the drink (that I did not drink after all). Here is the conversation: Me: “I am sorry but you’re charging me for a drink that was with hair inside that was not mine and I didn’t even drink” Him: “it’s also not mine and it was your choice to not drink because there’s still half of the bottle”
I tried to argue but I gave up since he was being extremely rude and arrogant when I was talking. I just paid and left.
Yes, it was at Gallo...

If you are nearby, you have to get some food here! 😁 Especially, because everything is fresh, fruity and vegan. Even if you are meat eater or vegetarian like me, you will not miss anything while you eat no-meat here.
You can also get cocktails, freshly mixed, and if you prefer, you can let yourself surprise like we did. The friendly service woman took a good choice for us!
All in all, a nice tiny restaurant where you get good food in a friendly athmosphere! We will see you next time when we are here again! 🙏
Best regards to the staff from the...
