I recently dined at Hummus and had a mixed experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is quite pleasant, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The decor is tasteful, and the seating is comfortable, making it a nice place to unwind and enjoy a meal.
However, the staff left much to be desired. From the moment we walked in, we were met with indifference. The hostess seemed disinterested, and our waiter, while efficient, lacked warmth and friendliness. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than valued guests, which put a damper on the overall experience.
As for the food, it was decidedly average. The menu offers a decent variety of dishes, but nothing stood out as particularly impressive. I ordered the [specific dish], which was adequately prepared but lacked any distinctive flavor or flair. My dining companions had similar reactions to their meals – everything was cooked properly, but there was nothing memorable about the flavors or presentation.
In summary, while Hummus provides a pleasant environment, the unfriendly staff and ordinary food make it hard to justify a return visit. There are many other dining options in the area that offer a more welcoming experience and more...
Read moreHummus Barcelona has some of the best hummus in town. Their lunch special is a great value, at 12.5 euros and I enjoyed it a few times over the course of my recent adventure in Barcelona. A drink, appetizer, entree, and desert or coffee are included.
I had the hummus, falafel wrap as my staples and found them both to be top notch. Both are served on freshly made pita bread, which really sets the tone for me. Fresh bread raises cuisine up several levels vs store bought or even locally sourced bread. Their pita is light and fluffy, with just enough variability that you know it's fresh.
The falafel wraps are divine, with lots of veggies, sauce and crunch falafel to make it a real party. I like the outdoor seating though this street can be a bit...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing hummus! We were near by and we saw it on Google maps with nice reviews and we thought to try it out. It says to be a vegetarian place but still it was tasty enough for us too, meat lovers. The place inside doesn’t say much, but the guy working there is really nice and cool. Even the cook who came out greet us nicely and converse with us! The food was nice and you could take a menu combo with starter, main plate, drink and desert which only costs 11€. That was really value for money. You should definitely try humus tapas with pita bread and the place with the fried eggs and the red sauce which I don’t remember the name right now. I would go...
