Kurz&Gut L'Illa — Restaurant in Barcelona

We sat down for 40 mins. Never got a menu. Never got our drink. The old guy working there apologized and then continued to ignore us for another 15 mins until we got up and left. I haven't done that in a long time.

The old guy is running around doing all the work while the waiters are sitting around doing nothing. One of them even winked at me while serving another table that had arrived minutes prior.

I don't want to call racism because my family are all white Hispanics. Could be a class thing since I was dressed sporty. Regardless, I felt like it was personal and it really pissed me off.

Out of all my nights in Barcelona, not only was this mall trash, this restaurant was the trashiest thing in the city.

I recommend the waiters to get fired and to re hire some older folks.

These specific going ones didn't look like they even wanted to be there. Give someone else the job who actually wants to work.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants and I’ve been here many times. But yesterday’s experience was quite disappointing. Even though it wasn’t busy and it was a weekday, the service was very slow. It took a long time just to get seated and place our order. It seems they don’t have enough staff.

The food still looks great, but the quality isn’t what it used to be. We ordered a salad with grill meat, but the meat was completely undercooked. We asked them to grill it again, but they brought it back not even warm, and it was too tough to eat.

Many people were standing and waiting for someone to help them, but after waiting too long, some of them just left. Also, the app for members doesn’t work anymore, and the 10% discount for members can’t be used. Even the staff...

Very disappointing experience due to rude service from one staff member. We sat down and calmly merged two tables to accommodate our group — the garden was almost completely empty, with only three other tables occupied.

Shortly after, the staff member came over, made us move and insisted we couldn’t add an extra chair for our stuff. The tone was harsh and unwelcoming, even though we were respectful and not disturbing anyone.

This kind of behavior leaves a bad impression, especially when the place clearly wasn’t busy. Hospitality should be about making guests feel welcome — sadly, that wasn’t...
