Took the daily special menu (€12.50, including a beer!).

starter: roasted red pepper with bacalao This dish was slightly under-seasoned for my taste but the flavor still great!

second: calamari and asparagus stew An unexpected delight. On a warm Barcelona day this stew, a dish I usually associate with fall and winter, was both intriguing and satisfying.

postre: flan The flan itself was a proper consistency (i.e. not cooked for too long) but was slightly less sweet than I would expect based on the versions I usually consume in US tex-mex restaurants. That said, the sweetened whip cream brought it to exact level of sweetness that I enjoy. My critique would be that the flan lacked sufficient caramelization and which contributed to a weak sauce in both flavor and consistency.

I would visit here again and further explore the menu if the opportunity...

I'm first time in Barcelona and I don't speak Spanish, but this place has menu with pictures. that's really nice of them. what is interesting, plates I got look exactly like those on photos. what is more, it's very tasty here. I found two dishes without meat - patatas bravas (fried potato with two sauces) and tsipras (aubergine crisps with goat cheese, honey and something green), both I can recommend, vere delicious. although, I should take only one, portions are big. :) since I'm staying nearby, I'm sure that I'll come back in next days. :) oh, as a starter they gave me some olives, since I'm not eating them at all, it was waste of food, but I assume typically people like olives, so if you want only to try some Spanish olives don't order them, you'll get...

The food was good but the service was soooo bad, the server was rude it appeared she was annoyed we visited their restaurant, really odd…we wanted to order other items but upon inquiring about other items the server retorted it would take too long to get???? Very disappointing…perhaps the staff was having a bad day or something but it was very disappointing …. Hopefully your experience will be more positive…...
