We recently dined at La Fonda Paisa, a cozy Colombian restaurant just steps from the Sagrada Familia, and left very satisfied with the experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with vibrant Colombian decor and music that created an authentic vibe. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we felt welcome from start to finish, and the generous portions were perfect for sharing. The food was delicious, though we’d rate the flavors a solid, very good but not quite exceptional. Overall, La Fonda Paisa is a fantastic spot for authentic Colombian cuisine in a great location, and we’d happily return!

Very disappointed!!! I asked for a bandeja paisa; it took 25 minutes, and I was the only one here. Flavorless, all I got was a bunch of beans and stale rice. I asked the lady to give me a dish for the beans so I could put them separately, and she brought a flat plate. I look at her and ask politely for a bowl, and she rolls her eyes and leaves and asks the kitchen for a bowl, upset. The food was tasteless, and the service was terrible. She never came back to ask if I wanted anything else when she clearly saw that I had nothing. If you want good service and good don't come here.

I've always been curious about the long lines, and now I completely understand why. The food is simply beyond amazing—I don’t even have the words to describe it. My taste buds were on fire with every bite! The soup transported me back to my childhood, tasting just like the one my late grandma used to make. It was such a heartwarming and nostalgic experience. On top of the incredible food, the service was fantastic. This place truly deserves all the hype and more. An absolute must-visit for anyone craving authentic Colombian cuisine!

Jasper's Thoughts: This Columbian restaurant is a delight to visit. There are cheap prices, good amounts of food, the food itself tastes amazing and the restaurant is decorated beautifully. If you are lucky like us, you'll see a lively and happy Columbian family eating and playing around a dinner table. The vibe is cozy and comfy, especially when we were there during Christmas. There is a bar too, though we didn't pay much attention to it. Overall, probably the best restaurant in spain we've been to so far. It was perfect to go to after having been to the Sagrada Familia. Had a great time with Tori

Hi people,

firstly I would like to explain our decision going to that restaurant: we were looking at the reviews on Google, there were a lot if 4 and 5 stars review especially of local people and furthermore, this restaurant was re-opened. So it's more or less probably what you are doing right now, then please take the time to read our experience.

The place was tiny but fine, the music was sometimes not always appropriate (we've expected more latin), but fine, everyone has his own taste ;-)

The most important part comes now:

The meat (bofe) was like bubblegum, some others were just not very well made, but it was ok! I would give 3 stars ONLY for the food.

BUT we waited around 45 minutes for the food, other people came around 15 minutes after us and got almost the same plate after 20 minutes.

UNFORTUNATELY after finishing eating because we just didn't want to continue eating this food, we didn't want them to throw it away and asked if we could take it home. The waiter just came, put an aluminum-dish on the table and went away. So WE HAD TO PACK OUR FOOD RIGHT AT OUR TABLE SOMEHOW IN THAT SMALL TO-GO-BOWL. Now the best part: When we wanted to pay, they had charged us for the CHEAP go-to bowl.

I definitely can't recommend that and we have visited more Colombian restaurants in Barcelona - please do yourself a favour and don't spend your money on this food. I am putting my whole experience here because people should not be as disappointed as we were. If you live close by or do want to taste really good Colombian food there's another colombian restaurant 1 minute by feet away where a very kind colombian woman who cooks the food in a way that you forget...
