If you want to skip the full sorry, just got to the last line, it encompasses all. My husband, two friends and I went to dine there. At first we thought it was going to be a good option, since one of us is a celiac. We arrived at 20:45 and we were told that every table was booked, so they offered us a table outside at the nextdoor restaurant, which also belonged to them (take into account that being the end of November is not something you really aimed for, but appreciating the offer, we took it...) Btw...note that the inside tables weren't occupied until 22:30, so we could have dined and be gone. Then we were offered to order from both restaurant menus (we thought, what a nice service! Later on we just thought... Silly us!) We started badly, we ordered our drinks and they were confused with 4 drinks for the only outside table from the 6 out 20 occupied.
Upside:The starters were good
The main course ... Again confusion on one burger... And by the time they brought the 4th dish, the other 3 people were already done with theirs, in addition to very bad food quality and seasoning. We asked for dessert, and they brought us one coulant with a different ice-cream flavour than the one asked for, just without asking us if we still wanted it, claiming it was because they didn't have it. Then, it took them half an hour to bring 2 out of the 3 remaining desserts; offering us for free the 3 remaining desserts because of the delay. At last, the waiter told us 45 min after asking for the dessert that they didn't have the 4th one... We asked for the check and... The 2 free desserts were charged (I'm not counting the one they didn't bring, which was supposed to be free as well) We asked the waiter and he denied the offer claiming that the compensation was only going to be for the dessert they didn't bring. At the end they "took off" the charge for one dessert.
So...in summary: bad food quality, specially terrible service and a complete disregard...
Read moreI was so exited to find a restaurant that is entirely gluten free! But what a disappointment… I got the plantain chips with guacamole. Both had zero salt in them, which is tasteless but at least people can just add the amount they want. Next I ordered the pad thai with beef. There were four little slices of beef, that were so over cooked that they were inedible. In addition, the flavor was completely off - so salty I couldn’t eat it. I told one of the waiters and he offered to bring me some teriyaki to balance it out. I was fine with that because I don’t like to return dishes. I tried the teriyaki before adding it, and it had nothing to do with actual teriyaki sauce - it was as salty as could be, and in addition was sour and not sweet. So I had no choice but to call another waiter and return the dish. I then ordered a salmon poke bowl instead, verifying with the waitress that it won’t be salty as it said that the salmon is in a soy marinade. The poke was edible, but not much more than that. The salmon was indeed extremely salty, while the rest was fairly tasteless. After mixing it well, the bites with the salmon were still too salty for me (but I will say that I am sensitive to salty food), and the rest was just edible. Out of all the restaurants I’ve eaten in in Barcelona so far, this was my least favorite :( I will definitely not come back :( Silver lining: coffee was...
Read morePizza was undercooked and the tasteless. Cheese was the cheapest you could get. Had was tiny little pieces. Base seemed cheap and bought in by schar. I explained this politely and said I was refusing it and that we wanted to just pay for the drinks. Woman server, with lots of tattoos and piercings, stinking of smoke and clearly operating on some kind of illegal substance, said OK. When she came back for the drinks payment she proceeded to explain to me in somewhat broken English- "Education is the key to life" or something like that. Really strange and uncouth behaviour. She ran off without giving the card receipt. I went to ask for it to check that we have only been charged the drinks amount, luckily she then handed it over. I asked her to repeat her statement which she did but it still didn't make complete sense. In essence she was saying that I was behaving poorly, when I was perfectly polite. First time in my life that returning poor quality food has resulted in me being ridiculed and belittled by a server. She clearly needs help to be honest (her name is MENA). As soon as she arrived to serve us I was immediately perturbed by her manner. As we had travelled a long way to get there I thought I would be positive. Wish I had gone with my gut and left. Much better pizza, service and environment at...
