Dublin Sports Tavern — Restaurant in Barcelona

A good casual Irish pub and sports bar. I didn't expect them to have food and it looked good! In Barcelona I was surprised there were not that many places to see a game, thankfully this was not too far from our hotel.

Note: they reserve tables through their instagram, for big games this goes fast since the space is on the smaller side, so you unlikely can reserve same day.

Also: their posted opening hours on Google are not accurate at the time I write this. I believe they open closer 6:45 not 5:45 (this was the case when I went early).

Alucinante lo que tuve que hacer para pedir una sidra. Primero pido la sidra a la camarera, pone un poco de sidra en el vaso y luego le pone tónica como si de una cubata se tratase, una mezcla peculiar sin duda. Se lo comento y me dice que se había equivocado. A continuación coge otro vaso nuevo, lo llena de hielos hasta arriba y le pone limón. No se quien le pone hielos y limón a una sidra pero yo no lo había visto en la vida. Aparte, con tanto hielo había menos sidra en el vaso que jamón en marruecos. Se lo comento a la camarera, coge un vaso nuevo y empieza a llenar esta vez si vacío el vaso con sidra. No obstante, se acaba la sidra en la máquina y tiene que ir a buscar un nuevo barril de esos. Traen el nuevo, y al cambiarlo, el antiguo se cae en la barra y luego al suelo rompiendo un plato y casi dejándome el pie más roto que el cruzado de gavi. Después de poner el nuevo barril me acaba de servir la sidra. Pero cuando me la da veo que la mitad del vaso es sidra y la otra mitad todo espuma. Ya para no quejarme más, me bebo la sidra de dos tragos y me voy más indignado que cuando perdimos en penaltis contra italia. Sin duda esta entra en un top 3 peores sidras que me han servido en mi vida. Próxima noche me haré un cubata directo que tenían buena pinta y encima te dejaban elegir cuanto alcohol poner. I am a morning user of this bar and they are open from very early. The coffee it is good, the wraps ("bocadillos") very tasty, great atmosphere, the staff it is always very keen to help and attentive. The prices are very reasonable compared with other bars in the area. They also serve outside in the plaza. Overall I would recommend to come here, day or night and you would enjoy a really nice pub...
