First of all, I think it’s worth resetting all the 5-star ratings this restaurant has received. With all due respect, my honest opinion is that, even though our waiter was kind, the place is overpriced and the food is far from special.
For starters, we ordered the patatas bravas, which were just okay, simply diced potatoes with the usual salsa. Alongside that, we tried the focaccia: for €3 you get 5–6 very small, extremely hard pieces of bread, almost like croutons, and difficult to swallow.
For the main course, we tried two different paellas: the seafood and the octopus. Each costs around €25–27 per person, and we were a group of four. Unfortunately, the paellas were nothing like what you would expect in Spain. And I say this as someone who lives here, not just a tourist. What we got was closer to a soggy risotto with just a few pieces of seafood. The flavor was acceptable, but if you’re truly looking for a good paella, I would recommend going elsewhere.
It’s really disappointing. We mentioned this to the waiter, and the only response we received was, “Well, thanks for...
Read moreWe came here on Friday for lunch (there were only 3–4 tables occupied). We ordered a Caesar salad, meatballs, chicken wings (had to remind him about the missing sauce), pan con tomate, and two large beers. The server first brought just one beer and then got distracted with other tasks, so I had to remind him about the second.
The meatballs arrived next, even though he hadn’t asked how we wanted our dishes served. He did ask if we wanted bread, but brought it only when the meatballs were almost finished—again, after we reminded him. To make it worse, the meatballs were meant for my partner while I had ordered the Caesar salad. I ended up just waiting while my partner ate, since my dish hadn’t arrived. We then had to wait another 15–20 minutes for the next dish.
The place itself is nice, with a cozy interior, and the server was polite when we arrived. They even serve a digestive at the end, which is a nice touch. However, the service needs major improvement.
The food was good, but unfortunately not served in the right order or with...
Read moreAn amazing discovery! This curated and cozy restaurant in the heart of Barcelona was a total surprise and discovery! We were visiting for 3 days and decided to go on the fork to see what were the options to go out on a Friday evening - this is the place to go!
All the fish/sea food is FRESH from the day! A great combination of ingredients - we took the mussels in their spicy sauce, the tune tartare with guacamole and a the octopus paella was great to share between 2 :) we topped it off with a crema Catalan and it was amazing!
I definitely recommend it - also one very important thing is for me the staff - welcoming, professional and friendly. Made us feel at ease - service is VERY FAST!
For sure you cannot come out of this restaurant disappointed...
