Mesón Castellano — Restaurant in Barcelona

Well we went eat there with my family and while we were walking to the back to find a table one of the waiters shouted to us like we were dogs or cats and at first we didn't understand he was talking to us and when he saw that we didn't react he shouted to us no to sit on the table although there was no reservation on that table. But that was the first thing, after we sat the table never got ready and thank God it happened before we order, the same waiter while he was going to serve a dish to a customer HE ATE FROM THE PLATE!!! STAY AWAY...

What an incredible meal we have just had, we had the Menu of the Day, our waitress Lia advised us and was so friendly and knowledgeable. She spoke English which helped as our Spanish isn't the best! We had the Caesar Salad and Seafood Paella to start, the Beef and chips and Fish and rice for mains and the brownie and cheesecake for dessert. All were tasty, fresh and delicious. Reedito tras la respuesta: Entiendo que es humilde pero lo cortés no quita lo valiente. Si le pedimos agua fría a la camarera y vaso con mucho hielo aparte, no tiene sentido que con ese poco tacto con el cliente que tiene me ponga el agua y me diga "ya está fría ", le insisto para que me ponga mucho hielo y me pone un único hielo de mala gana. Aquí se critica simplemente la organización, si quisiera comer con más calidad obviamente no tengo problema en gastar más. Los camareros van de un lado para el otro haciendo viajes que no se entiende (sabemos del gremio). El plato combinado, se escuchó a grito que nadie lo había pedido. Siento si ofende pero es la realidad. Edición anterior: Parecería barato pero sale caro, la comida es muy del montón, las fotos de las tapas nada que ver con la realidad, pedimos combinado, bocadillo y tapas para 4 personas y fueron trayendo los platos cuando les daba la gana, sin orden y con tiempo de espera entre plato y plato. Y no, no es porque fueran desbordados. Le decimos a la camarera (que es muy seca, por cierto) que vamos a comer pero dice que no pone mantel (de papel) si no cogemos menú. Absurdo. Que la dirección del restaurante diga que tienen calidad es ya de locos, hemos visto a la camarera yendo a comprar pan al negocio de alimentación tipo "badulaque" que tienen a pocos metros. De nada...
