My husband and I bought return tickets from Platja d'Aro to Barcelona and back (8.30 p.m.). Everything was great until the return. We arrived at the Nord bus station 2 hours early and waited for the bus as it said on the ticket, on platform number 1. Just before 8.30 p.m. some gentleman asked employee who was standing there (an older man, maybe around 60 with a graying beard and hair) about the bus, he told him platform 25, I thought that was strange so I showed him my ticket and asked if we were waiting for the bus there, he said in English no there, platform twenty five, twice and we went to that platform where it was quite crowded. While we were waiting, a bus arrived at platform 26, people got on and the bus left.Then the bus arrived at platform 25, and when I showed the driver my ticket, he told me that our bus had left from platform 26. Terrible! The last bus! We went to the information desk where we explained to the gentleman what had happened, he called the man who told us to go to platform 25. He was talking in Spanish, he didn't even look at us, let alone try to apologize. He basically tried to shift the blame onto us, saying that we didn't understand him and that he said someone of the platform, which was a lie because he repeated platform twenty-five to the gentleman before me and to us twice. The gentleman at the information desk was very kind and directed us upstairs to the transport counter where I asked what to do now, if they could refund our tickets. The man who told us it was the wrong platform was talking to the lady again in Spanish, to which she rudely replied that they don't refund money, and when I asked what to do now and how to get to the accommodation, she coldly said take a taxi.We left upset and deceived, at the taxi driver's we met again the man who told us the wrong platform (which makes me doubt his agreement with the taxi drivers) who didn't even want to look at us. We took a taxi for which I gave the last 200 euros I had. And I'll just tell you that the man and that woman at the transport counter be ashamed, without any empathy, humanity, and what's worst is that he is to blame because he told us the wrong thing. Even though the guards and police dogs are fierce, but their function is only to drive everyone out of the hall and lobby at 00:00 and won’t help you to find your stuff or suspect. They just want you to go to the next police station to file a report. I think there are too many thieves, so they don't care anymore.
