During our trip to Barcelona, we had the pleasure of dining at this great halal restaurant. Situated close to iconic attractions like La Rambla, the Boqueria Market, and the Gothic Quarter, this restaurant offered a good selection of Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine 🥘
Our choice for lunch was the menu paella deal, an enticing offer that included a paella of our choice, five tasty tapas - featuring classics like Patatas bravas (spicy potatoes), fried squid, padron peppers, chicken wings, and fried anchovies - and a refreshing drink. We opted for pineapple juice to accompany our food, and all of this came at an incredibly reasonable price of 19€ 💳
The culinary experience was nothing short of exceptional. Every dish exuded flavors that captured the essence of Spanish cuisine, leaving our taste buds delighted. The waitstaff were not only attentive but also genuinely kind, making our lunch stop even more enjoyable. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience ✨

The waiter miss poured the drink into still water and just put them away without refilling. Each bottle of water costed £3 and when we asked at the end of the meal if we could take the water with us they said no! But we had already paid for it! And there was so much water left (see the picture that my boyfriend took). So wasteful. The staff pushed you to order more food even that'll be excessive.
The Potatas Bravas was just a potato that had been diced and then deep fat fried (so now it just tastes like chips) with some mayo poured on it and very little spicy sauce. Again: no flavour.
The paella was super salty using excess spice trying to hide the fact using some frozen cheap seafood. Mussel, no favour; clams, no favour; squid, too soft and lost its texture; only the prawns were fine. Cannot identify which herbs has been used probably just some cheap mixed spice.
At the end of the meal the staff will push you to give them 5-stars review on Google. Now I'm not surprised why they have such high score with such...
Read moreDo NOT go to this restaurant. It is a tourist trap. My mum and I went to this restaurant yesterday and we were both extremely disappointed. We do not understand how it has positive reviews. The waitresses were not attentive, but rather pushy to make you order more alcohol and food. We told the waitress three times, who was taking the drink order, that we do not drink alcohol, yet she kept asking if we wanted to order wine. She only left us alone and the waiter who takes food order came after we ordered a bottle of coke, which was not even properly cold. We nearly left before we ordered the food because of the pushy service but thought maybe the food would be good because of the positive reviews. This was not the case, and we were very disappointed by the food. It was not tasty at all. We were hungry, so we ate two of the tapas we ordered, and we left majority of the other dish uneaten. The people who run the restaurant are not even Spanish. We should have just left, but we were hungry. Do not make the same mistake we did and...
