Restaurant La Tagliatella | Passeig Sant Joan, Barcelona — Restaurant in Barcelona

Usually I don't write rewiews, but my last experience made me change my mind. We like this chain of the restaurants and always go there on special occasions. 21.06.23 we wanted to spend nice time and invited our friends from the USA to this restaurant "Restaurant La Tagliatella in Passeig Sant Joan" . We expected same service as in another one, but we mistaken. It was awful, such terrible attitude we have never had in any other place. We were waiting for the waiter for 20 minutes and nobody came, we went inside and took menu ourselves. Then we were waiting again till smb comes to take the order. They came in 15 minutes (brought food to another table) we asked for drinks and one more glass. Again waiting for the drinks and even longer for the extra glass. Finally we received our drinks and glass (glass 10 minutes after drinks). Nobody cleaned the table, it was so dirty, but the waiter just put paper napkins and that's all. Wasn't nice at all. Now main thing, menu. How can the restaurant not have any meat, fish? If everything has finished you had time to buy till 8pm, because it was closed till that time. But that's weird, it was Tuesday and everything finished? So we had to change our order 3 times, because all these 3 times waiter came and said that they don't have it. Even to change the salad, because they didn't have cheese for that. We also ordered that delicious bread, but we didn't receive it at all. We were very disappointed. The evening was spoiled. Can't recommend this place. For sure we won't return to...

The worst experience! I was just disgusted for everything!

First I booked a table and they didn't find my reservation, then they gave me a table for 6 instead 7 (but this isn't the big deal), the worst thing was that they were cleaning the room with the floor so dirty next to us while we were eating, food was disgusting and my dad had to leave all his spaghetti as they were like glue and you are crazy to call pizza that thing, better a frozen one.

But what was driving me mad and I wanted to punch the waiter as I was really upset (of course I would never do so far I am not that kind of customer) as they were opening the front door next to us during the winter time for entering all the table, I mean, was so so so bad and of course all his fake italian's food but at least they could be polite.

I would like to meet the owner of this company to receive from him the apologies to all my family for the respect that I did not receive!

Posso tollerare il cibo scadente ma la maleducazione di farmi sedere in mezzo alla polvere e alla mancanza di rispetto,...

It has a long time not being at a Tagliatella restaurant and, unfortunately, it has been a huge deception.

Don't take me wrong, it is not bad, yet none of the pastas we took was remarkable at all while, the Tagliatella I remember was the prtty much the opposite: huge dishes of pasta and, more important, most of them with a tasteful and amazing flavour that reminded you of good home made italian pasta. This desapperared in this "new" Tagliatella. I say "new" because I believe they xhange the decoration style: it keeps warm and cosy, yet there is no as many hot red as it used to be. No complaints about it, I actually like it better.

Service has been an issue as well: unsure if they are just brand new or perhaps they had a bad day, but they did too many mistakes, being the main one to miss ine of the orders and do not notice until 5 out of 6 people had finished their meals. Fair to say that they apologized and brought one dessert for free.

Anyway, I do miss the "old"...
