Breakfast at CentOnze - A Perfect Start to the Day!

If you’re staying at Hotel Le Méridien Barcelona, you’re in for a treat when it comes to breakfast at CentOnze. The variety and freshness of the offerings made this one of the most memorable breakfast experiences during my trip.

First things first — the juices! 🍊🍏 I started my morning with their refreshing Sunrise Boost and Green Energizer Boost juices. Both were as delicious as they sound, with the perfect balance of flavors to energize me for a day of sightseeing. The citrus sunrise was sweet and tangy, while the green juice felt incredibly revitalizing — a real boost of health in a glass!

Pastries Galore! 🥐🍫 Next up, the pastry selection was simply irresistible. From fluffy croissants to rich chocolate-filled pastries, and even Danish treats, it was like a little slice of heaven for anyone with a sweet tooth. Each bite was buttery and fresh, perfect with a cup of coffee.

The Chef’s Omelette Station 🍳👨‍🍳 For those looking for something savory, the omelette station was a standout. The chef was friendly and clearly passionate about creating the perfect omelette. With a wide range of toppings like fresh vegetables, cheeses, and meats, each omelette was made to order and cooked to perfection.

Traditional Spanish Delights 🍩 Of course, it wouldn’t be breakfast in Spain without a taste of churros and croquettes. The churros were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and paired with just the right amount of sugar. And the croquettes — crispy, warm, and packed with flavor — were the perfect addition to the more traditional breakfast items.

CentOnze Restaurant in Barcelona offers an exceptional dining experience that beautifully blends fresh, local ingredients with Mediterranean flavors. Situated at Ramblas 111, it provides a vibrant view of Las Ramblas through its expansive panoramic windows, creating a lively yet intimate atmosphere. 

The menu is a testament to their “marketarian” concept, featuring seasonal dishes crafted from ingredients sourced directly from the renowned La Boqueria Market. During my visit, I savored the market salad and the de pulpo pork; both were incredibly tasty and showcased the freshness of the produce. The restaurant also caters to various dietary preferences, offering gluten-free and vegetarian options. 

The service at CentOnze is impeccable. The staff is attentive and detail-oriented, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Special thanks to Giada, our waitress, whose professionalism and warmth enhanced our evening.

Came here with girls to celebrate Valentine’s Day but we were really disappointed! We waited near the door a lot because no one was meeting at the reception. The location is nice! We tried duck breast and duck cannelloni, they were fine! But everything else upset us! My friend asked mashed potatoes without truffles, but it was with truffles and the waiter did not tell us about this. The shrimps were not as good. The garnish with vegetables was awful, it looked like vegetables to throw away but they decided to make it a dish. My friend barely touched vegetables. The fresh juice in the menu was not fresh, it tasted like juice bought from the store and looked like one. But the waiter assured it was fresh although we could not see an orange squeezer like in other places with a real fresh juice! And overall the waiter was slow and not as friendly!
