I arrived with a party of 8 people including 2 children under 6. Below are my thoughts.

Pros - Great atmosphere and aesthetics. Even though there was a long queue out the door, it moved fairly quickly. There are 2 levels to the restaurant so our party was moved up to the second level which is more spacious with beautiful views.

Cons - Our waiter was borderline rude and kept cutting us short when we spoke. Being this was our first time at the restaurant, we had questions on the menu choices and wanted his opinion. He responded rather hastily instead of taking the time to actually hear what we were asking. At some point, I had to call him to order when he was trying to rush me to give my menu choice and he tried to laugh it off but I let him know he was rude. He did not apologize.

I ordered the grilled salmon with sautéed vegetables and while the salmon was fresh, it lacked flavor and spice. The Prosciutto pizza was really good. Someone else ordered a beef burger to be well done and what she received instead was medium.

We also ordered a kids menu which included dessert. We had to remind the waiter twice about this dessert since it was already included in the price.

The bill came and he made it a point to let us know it did not include the 10% service fee. This is something I have never seen in Barcelona until this point. Basically, this restaurant does have a mandatory “tipping” fee that they make known to their patrons. We were flawed at this level of incompetence from this establishment.

Overall, I don’t think I will be visiting this establishment during my next visit to Barcelona due to the level of...

Summary: Really delicious food with a relaxed atmosphere on the street of La Rambla.

This is a brilliant restaurant for anyone to visit including couples, families and groups. We decided to eat at this restaurant when visiting Barcelona as there was a friendly worker handing out free cava coupons, this enticed us in. We were seated at a perfect table near the large glass windows looking out onto the street of La Rambla. The interior of the place was modern and clean, with a nice classic Spanish feel. You can see through to the chef’s kitchen which is a great feature of the restaurant. We ordered two pizzas the same, the Sagrada Familia which was chicken, mozzarella, stilton and sweet onion chutney. The taste of these were amazing and we would definitely recommend to anyone visiting. We waited a little while for our food to arrive but this just shows how fresh they are made. We paid our bill and left with a smile on our faces after having a really enjoyable time along with delicious food. The staff were friendly and met all of our needs. Speaking English was not a problem as all the staff were fluent in this language. We noticed that the table next to us were speaking French and the waiters were able to adapt to this by speaking their language too. If you ever pass this restaurant then I highly recommend popping in for some lunch or dinner as I am sure you would enjoy it just as...

Worst experience. We used to eat at this restaurant every time we visited Barcelona. The previous three times were exceptional. However, during my last visit on August 26, things were very different. Our waiter was named Kelvin. First of all, the welcome was cold. We waited 20 minutes before he came to see us. When he finally arrived, he told us we had ordered too much and that he would be surprised if we finished everything. We had ordered several starters and main courses. He brought out the starters and main dishes at the same time. He dropped off the cutlery and glasses in the middle of the table without handing them to us directly—we had to serve ourselves. Same thing with the plates. Then, he dropped the paella. He bumped into our child, who started crying. He clearly saw and heard what happened, but didn’t apologize until we pointed it out. Only then did he offer an apology. Later, he came back and said he knew we wouldn't be able to finish the food because it was too much. In reality, we had lost our appetite because of the terrible service. The food also left much to be desired—it was no longer of the high quality we had experienced in past years. We will never return to this place again due to the poor service and food that is now just average, far from...

As other reviewers have said this place does not quite live up to the hype of its long lines and packed restaurant. It's big glass windows looking over a packed dining hall with great looking food in a fantastic location probably has a lot to do with your desire to join the ever growing nightly lines. We ordered the salad, prosciutto pizza, and shrimp tapa. All the other reviewers seem split between loving and hating this place with its many 5 and 1 star reviews alike. This place all in all is pretty mediocre, the food is pretty decent, the pizza wasn't quite what was expected but it also didn't seem like a frozen reheated pizza either. The salad was fresh and crunchy with lots of great vegetable options. The shrimp came to the table bubbling covered deeply in delicious looking oil flavored with garlic, herbs, and spices. So should you try this place? The answer is Yes, just don't bother to queue up for it, it isn't that good. There are tons of restaurants just off the strip that are just as good and better. But if the line is short, and you are hungry for something quick and easy this is a really good option. Enjoy!
