Food was ok, not great. It's totally a trap for tourists (and locals, which I am). Used to come here as a kid and always been treated very well. Today was a total different story: they have a menu del dia for 15,95€ (plus taxes) they never offered us. We ended up paying 60€ for food that was in that menu for half price. They just brought us the regular menu and we've chosen from there because we didn't know there was an alternative until we were almost leaving and saw other people having the menu del dia paper. When I asked why didn't we get that option nobody answered, waiters kept ignoring us and finally they sent the manager (who really wasn't the manager as we discovered later). When we finally spoke to the real person in charge (apparently), he didn't give us any answer. Kept repeating like a parrot that they can't bring us something we don't ask for (menu del dia paper) while we tried for him to understand that we can't ask for something nobody told us that exists. There are great restaurants around and quite cheaper with way better educated and respectful human team. Also, be aware that they will bring you bread even if you don't ask for it and charge you 2€ for it, and the prices in the menu don't include taxes, which I suspect is not totally legal. Long story short, AVOID IT. Many options on the same street where you can better spend your money ;) Also... their language was male chauvinist and patronizing, totally intolerable! Saying "nena" and "hija" to me, mansplaining meaningless stuff to a...
Read moreWe stopped at this place because it looked good and the prices for food was reasonable. We were 2 adults and 3 children, service wasn’t great as the waiting staff were not very attentive, we ordered a bottle of water and 3 drinks for the children however when the bill came I noticed an orange juice was charged at 9.95 euros, I questioned this and the waiter told me it was a large juice and it was fresh. However other drinks such as coke and apple juice charged at 5.50 euros. I wasn’t at all pleased as they also charged an additional tax surcharge 10% on top which I thought was a bit misleading. Food was average. I would advise to check/ask prices for drinks as they were not stated on the menu. I would never have thought to order that juice had I known....
Read moreMe and 2 friends had breakfast here and were far from amazed. Service was just ok, not particularly good or bad. The food was decent but way overpriced, eggs were overcooked and the bread wasn't properly toasted on the English breakfast we had. One of my friends had eggs on avocado toast and it was the same, eggs overcooked and avocado was too ripe. 4,90€ for a a small orange juice and same price for a rather bad red wine; 2,45€ for a small coffee... it's clearly a tourist trap and we should have known better, wouldn't recommend it to anyone really. On top of the above, they try to charge you the VAT as an extra when that is illegal in Spain to do so (the price reflected on the menu has to include all taxes)...
